Daggers Posted 9 March 2012 Posted 9 March 2012 Whilst true, I'm sure that's not the only criteria to determine Scottishness. Do they have to be? 50% of Liverpool's fanbase is Scandinavian, most of Wigan's support actually live in Irkutsk while two entire stands at Bolton are Tibetan yak herder season ticket holders who fly over for every home game.

You were saying Stoke should take Rangers' (Scottish) qualification spot in Europe for having neo-nazi followers, so I made the joke that having neo-Nazi followers isn't the only thing that makes a club Scottish. I wasn't making any sort of statement about fanbases.

NeilyBoy Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 I think you're over-analysing a throw away remark here kiddo. Maybe, but a throw away remark which gave me the impression he'd misunderstood the joke he was responding to, so I tried clarifying - is that so wrong? Also, please don't call me kiddo; being 3 years older doesn't give you that right and it's a pretty condescending term regardless.

davieG Posted 5 April 2012 Posted 5 April 2012 BBC Rangers' administrators estimate that the club's total debts could top £134m. The figure is revealed in the administrator's report to creditors published on the club's website. A total of more than £93m is being claimed by HM Revenue and Customs, relating to the so-called big and small tax cases, and unpaid VAT and PAYE. The report also reveals Rangers owe cash to other football clubs including Celtic, Hearts, Dundee United, Manchester City and Arsenal
21st Century Fox Posted 8 May 2012 Posted 8 May 2012 Bill Miller, the preferred bidder to buy Rangers, has withdrawn his bid for the club, the American businessman has confirmed.
Jordan Posted 9 May 2012 Posted 9 May 2012 Gers fans really are an obstinate bunch. They really need to swallow some fvcking pride and let their club swallow the harsh medicine it desperately needs. They're lucky Miller was even willing to throw money at their club's financial black hole.
MC Prussian Posted 9 May 2012 Posted 9 May 2012 Oh well, Scottish football is a joke, anyway. The same two teams winning the league and the cup year in, year out. I don't know how the fans of the remaining ten teams cope with each new season. Must be pretty boring to play third fiddle all the time. So, with regards to Motherwell competing in Europe, I do hope they can get very far in the competition and do Scotland proud.

Super_horns Posted 10 May 2012 Posted 10 May 2012 Rangers fans shouldn't really be beggers and choosers really in this situation...
