Matt Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Surprised? Really? Have you forgot who owns Sheffield Wednesday?
Fox92 Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Hopefully nobody decent. Don't want them becoming too good. Paul Ince was mentioned about a week ago.
NewburyFox Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Would quite like the irony of it all if Lee Clark went there and got them into automatic promotion ahead of Huddersfield on goal difference.
StanSP Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Would quite like the irony of it all if Lee Clark went there and got them into automatic promotion ahead of Huddersfield on goal difference. Or beat them in play-off final.
Leicesterpool Posted 29 February 2012 Author Posted 29 February 2012 I think Lee will want to get revenge on Huddersfield and this could be it.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 Are people being serious about Sousa? He is managing Videoton. My guess will be Dave Jones
wurmer Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 Pearson? I really wish there was a -1 button here.. idiot.
Corky Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 Are people being serious about Sousa? He is managing Videoton. My guess will be Dave Jones He went with Sousa when he last made a bizarre managerial change, it was based on that. There'll be a lot of talk about "big" names before someone less well-known is appointed probably.
Fox92 Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 Pearson? Bet you were not saying stuff like this when he got us promoted from League 1 at the first time of asking (something the likes of Leeds, Forest and Southampton failed to do) and then led us to the play offs.
Corky Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 I was wrong, seems like Dave Jones is in line to take over.
accessory Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Does that mean they'll choke in the playoffs, like Cardiff used to do?
Fox92 Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 Does that mean they'll choke in the playoffs, like Cardiff used to do? It means, given the right time and money, he will make them into a force, like he did Cardiff. Something I don't want to see with Sheffield Wednesday.

Something I don't want to see with Sheffield Wednesday. Because he's likely to get that from the club owner, isn't he? Wednesday are a sleeping giant. Whatever you may think of them, it's shameful that a club that can attract crowds of 30000+ should be rotting away in the third tier.

Not from the current owner, but Milan will want to sell the club as soon as they are promoted. I don't like them, but only because living so close to Sheffield most of my mates support them, and I got hammered year after year at school, especially when we got relegated. They are a big club, but there are so many big clubs in the second, third and fourth tier of English football. However, no team has a right to be in a higher division.
