Tony Pulis shouldn't have his driving license revoked for reaching 15 points because "he could not be expected to use a chauffeur because he needed to keep his phone conversations private".

Who knew this thread would be appropriate for news?

The Tories give us all something to aspire to, its good to get rich because we can safeguard our grandchildren never having to hold down a proper job but still walk into positions of power. Nepotism is a good thing.

Not to mention a Private education, and not knowing what you know, but who you know.

People should stop writing , books , music , drawing paintings etc and get proper jobs ,

There are enough books, songs and paintings in the world now to choose from

They'd result in certain incredibly left-wing welshmen exploding into a million pieces due to rage. That's about all I can find that is pro your arguments.

Does Gareth Bale post on here?

Anyone on less than 25K a year should just quit their jobs and go on benefits,

it will drive the avergae wage up, which will in turn drive up the benefits as they are based on average incomes, employers will have to pay more for menial jobs, some of the worst jobs are the lowest paid, so you would have to pay someone a decent wage so they can have a decent life outside of their shitty jobs, to compensate for this all the people on cushy jobs in middle management doing **** all will have to take a pay cut to pay for the people at the bottom to do the jobs they don't want to.

'Bolton should keep playing their fixtures, and their players should be forced to play.'

Because it's their job, and not playing isn't going to help Muamba get better is it? If a colleague had a heart attack in an office, you wouldn't expect the whole office to refuse working for a few weeks would you?

I don't know whether to applaud you or hit you for that one...

Well done.

At last, a thread of like-minded people! I've been searching for this ever since I joined FT. The rest of it is full of weak-minded nancy boys that get upset if you argue with them. A page and a half of thread so far, and not one arguement, just good commonsense ideas. Anybody up for clearing the Isle of Man and putting all the convicts there? We could let them forage for their own food. Although as wife works for the Prison Service, she would be out of a job. Oh well, she could join the unemployed and sweep the streets, clean graffiti off walls and mend potholes.

Hitler wasnt bad y'know, just a bit misunderstood.

Imbecilic plan - the IOM is a wonderful place with the TT race. You haven't thought this through.

No one would miss Norfolk and Suffolk. Erect a fence, load the counties with criminals and perverts (OK, sorry, more criminals and perverts). Cut along the fence and have a fleet of tugboats pull the land mass off to Scandinavia.

Actually the rest of the team should be forced to have heartattacks in solidarity with Muamba because as a team they should know exactly how each of their teammates feels. Better still as Muamba was dead for 78minutes, the entire Bolton team should be replaced with the zombies from the Dawn of the Dead to stop the medical profession having to worry about the health of any of footballers.

Praying for Muamba definitely works. He's getting better isn't he. It's a well know fact that if enough people pray, God will get this petition against something HE'S already set in motion and reconsider whether it was a twatish move on his part.

Excellent point. I don't really understand this idea of a god who's in control of everything, and gets praise for anything good he's meant to have done, but no reaction to anything awful he's done. When something unbelievably great happens, believers will tell you that's clearly the work of an omnipotent god, so thank him. When something truly terrible happens, not one of them shouts to the sky, "What the fvck did you do that for, you ****?" What would this god be like? He's put an innocent person's life in the balance, and now he's sat twiddling his thumbs waiting for a certain number of people to ask him to save that innocent person's life before he'll do anything. A sick fvck with too much time on his hands. This god does not deserve worship.

Statement: We should stop giving money to African aid charities such as Oxfam because it only serves to prevent deaths.

Agreed.

It's actually quiet well known that some of the efforts Oxfam and World Vision do is flawed. I'm not even going to touch on the points that they take comissions and only a small % actually reaches the impoverished countries. I've been to Africa and read many books on Africa but the major floor with Oxfam and World Vision is that they merely give hand outs and often don't try to help and improve the situation.

Many Africans (clearly not all) know they will be able to get hand outs so don't try and assit with building water wells, vegetable gardens, creating supply lines thru proper farming techniques. Why should they when World Vision and Oxfam will be there to give them handouts.......a lot like the dole in the western world, why get a job if the goverment will give me money for doing nothing. Constant handouts slow done and effect the growth of Agriculturle business in Africa, i'm not completely against world vision and ox fam but i believe there is better methods to "assist" Africa instead.

There is numerous artcles and theories on this but below are just 2 quick ones i found on google.

To be fair, im pretty confident the bad sh!t happens while he is trying to help my mum find her keys.

"Children should enter the work force at 12 years old"

This would give children on job training instead of pointless irrelevant education and give them on job training. This would also lower the retirement age and creating money by reducing the education budget and stimulating the economy.

Amen.

If there is a God he wants one of two things, either:

a) Us all to be nice to each other (ie. not trying to guilt trip people into following their own rules on what God wants or fighting over these rules) - the one's showing decency, regardless of creed, being accepted into his holy place.

or

b) We're a little experiment of his and he just wants to see what happens.

Some say all he wants is us to praise him, which is a pretty garish loophole. Maybe I'll go pork a toddler and he'll let me into heaven for saying hallelujah as I come. Oh now I get clergymen.

Yeah buddy!

It's common-sense thinking like this that makes me wonder how the fvck it took me nineteen years to see sense.

So in principle we agree? It's just the fine detail we need to work out, like the location. How about Anglesey? It's only got a few Welsh people on it, so no loss there.

It's got a Morrison's though.

All old people should be restricted to 2 falls. If they fall for a third time they should be amputated at the knees, put back in bed and sewn into their sheets. This would reduce the burden on the NHS of elderly falls and fractured hips.

And wear and tear on my back

Anyone over 70 should be banned from driving.

Instantly...

They drive far too slowly and hold me up when I'm in a rush.

Their cars should be immediately confiscated from them and recycled to make more zimmer frames.
