Who has played most league games? That honour currently goes to Notts County (4657), with Preston NE (4631) and Burnley (4606) close behind. Who has most points? In spite of writing 'Official' in topic title I hope you'll all take this with a pinch of salt. And of course 'best ever' only refers to England ... However it might help some fans with anecdotes "e.g. we're the 5th best at" ... or whatever Just enjoy it for what it's worth!

stourbridgefox Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 My problem with these things is that they don't take into account that prestige fades over time. Winning the Premier League now counts for a lot more than winning the First Division in the 19th Century. Leeds won the title 21 years ago but how much prestige do they still have over this? Most football fans think in a very short-term way about every club but there own.
