You make your own luck.

I have to pick you up on this. Whilst I sort of see the point you might be trying to make (which as I understand it is probably that its actually not a case of bad luck) - but you absolutely do not make your own luck and if you understood the word 'luck' you'd understand that.

Lets say for example, and I should have stopped typing ten or so words ago, but you and I go and buy one lottery ticket each, lucky dip. I win £10 million. You win nothing. How have I made my luck? How was I more deserving that you? What did I do better? Ok so I walked in to the right shop at the right time and went for lucky dip - but how have I made that luck? Its still just luck.

The next time you come on here whinging about some triviality, which is usually every day or so, I'll remind you that its just bad luck and remember, you make your own luck.

Predictable and that is why we aint making the playoffs or ever getting promotion under NP this isn't me being a hater of NP, but we need a manager to instill a winning ethos and mentality this squad of players should be good enough for a promotion challenge. Hopefully NP will prove me wrong but I cannot see it.

No doubt one win under him and you'll change your mind like you usually do.

As it stands Watford stand more chance of play offs than us. Forget it now and build for next season.

Exactly. But what exactly is NP building? Do we bail now? Or let him keep boring this really quite boring, championship at best standard bunch of cloggers and rentaquotes alike?

This season has been full of rubbish excuses, both on the field and on this forum.

It's not effort or formation it's ABILITY.

We have been nowhere near good enough, consistently, all season.

Beckford not had a touch this half... How many times have we seen that this season?

And Nugent sounds knackered.

Dyer sounds like he's had a stinker too.

Presume he's talking about football, not whether you stood in dog shit or not

Over the course of the season the side that plays with the most, commitment, effort & desire will have more luck than some big time charlies who don't realise you need to put the effort in to make use of your skills

Dyer off for Schlupp on. So no width bar the fullbacks who'll have to get forward. Pboroughs wingers are very fast and they like to counter. I'd put money on another Posh goal coming from a counter behind one of our fullbacks....

I understand that point, but that is nothing to do with luck. Obviously if you are in the opposition's box more, with more committed skilful players, you'll get more penalties. That isn't luck either.

Luck in football is still luck. Perhaps someone would like to look up a definition of the word luck and try to convince me that its possible to make your own luck.

If you coud make your own luck, we'd all be off doing that. You can't hence its luck.

Maybe I was abit contradictory saying you make your own luck, but you generally get more rewards if you work harder, whilst i'm not saying no player goes out not to try hard, we do look like we feel sorry for ourselves if the slightest thing doesn't go our way, we love looking for excuses - that goes for players and fans.

Maybe if we tried harder got on with things stopped looking for excuses and just dig in, get on with things, and try a prove points when things don't go our way along with luck we will gain more reward.

I'm just sick and tired of players and fans making excuses, similar to fans booing - if fans boo a certain player, If I was the player being booed, personally i'd be out there trying to prove them wrong, trying to make a point, when a referee makes a wrong decision - get on with it, prove a point - It's not nice that he's made the wrong decision and it's not right that they get away with it but instead of feel sorry for ourselves work harder.

give it 5mins until after the whistle for certain fans to be calling for Pearson to get the boot.

Yup same old people. Third in the form tables before today, dominated the game and missed a hat full of sitters, natural reaction... Sack the manager.
