Beckford rejects row rumours

Good lad, Jermaine.

Happy that now the rumours can be put to bed (for now) and we can finish the season hopefully without any arguments!

And hopefully it will shut Alan Young up.

Maybe they had a grown up chat about and Pearson asked Beckford why he didn't go up and Beckford said because I was knackered from helping out the defence and Pearson said ok Jamie but next time tell one of those lazy arsed defenders/midfielders to do the chasing back I want you in the oppo's penalty area where you can do the most damage.

Jermaine replied ok Boss.

That would make WAY too much sense though, plus wheres the drama?!

That will never happen

It is a complete contradiction to NP saying he will “deal with it” vs Becks saying nothing was mentioned. Maybe NP just thought it was a heat of the moment thing and not worth raising.

NP Seriously needs to learn how to deal with the press and play the game a bit, Stringer is hardly Paxman, just feed a line he will be happy, all this antagonism towards the press and defensiveness just leads people to think he is trying to hide something and read more into it. He did his usual thing of trying too hard to not talk about something and ended up making it worse and fuelling speculation.

I'm not having a debate about it but he can't. It was obvious after the match something had gone on, this article means nothing for me.

If Pearson remains here next season Beckford won't, or if he does and we can't flog him (Dj Campbell) he won't be in his plans and will go out on loan.

So you would rather believe unsubstantiated reports based on a tight lipped NP interview, where he said he would deal with it (and has), with no direct quotes from anyone connected with the club, than an actual direct quote from Beckford?

... then headbutted him! :o

Cant believe the wankers on here slating Beckford - he is coming good and has scored 1 less than Nugent now having played less time. He will bag 20 plus goals next season.

Can't comment on NP's man management because we don't get to witness it but I do feel he needs to work on his attitude to the media and fans. He always says how great we've been all year so why the hell doesn't he just open up and give us something once in a while? Would it really damage the team if he came out and gave us detail on the Matt Mills situation amongst other things, particularly now that play-offs look out of reach.

I think the MM situation is a completely different kettle of fish. I dont know the ins and outs of all of it, but i really do get the feeling we arnt playing him as to not trigger a contract clause that increases his wages even more if he plays 'x' amount of games for us. If NP came out and told everyone straight this was the case and thats why he wasnt playing, it could cause some massive issues for the club, and could possibly breach some contract along the way, because technically we probably cant just use that as an excuse for leaving him out the squad.

This is all speculation on my part though, i just get the feeling the MM situation is a lot more complex.

It is good he has come and defended himself, anyone doubting his commitment well you can rightly do one, at least he still thinks we can get in the prem maybe not this season but next with Nugent and Beckford firing on all cylinders it will happen.

Well I think there is a lot more to be learnt from NP's demeanor and tone of voice in the immediate aftermath than there is from a few words written by a third party.a week later

that's all I'm asking for - a bit of communication. NP can make whatever decisions he likes about the first team, he's the one who know the players and watches them train. I just think he should do us the service of justifying himself once in a while. He's not the bloody pharaoh.

Which of copurse could not be attributed ot the fact we had just lost to Posh, even when we win he is a miserable bugger in interviews, when we lose he is even less happy, and then having someone question him on something he doesn't want to talk about, he is going to sound pissed off.

And this is not a third party, these are direct quotes from Beckford.

On Saturday NP said it will be dealt with.

On Thursday Beckford says it has been dealt with and there is no problem.

Anything else is pure unsubstantiated speculation

Great to see him come out and rubbishing all the reports.

We can now put all these rumours to bed, and watch him fire us into the premier league either this season (unlikely I know), or next season ;)

Loving it. All along you nobs in the other thread hating Beckford and telling me I'm wrong for defending him. Make sure you know the true story first! :)

People see what they want to see. There are certain posters on here, no matter how well Beckford plays, simply don't like him. He's 1 goal behind our top scorer, and the reason why he hasn't got more is because our midfield is shite. He needs service to get his goals, which some people also cannot fathom on this board.

So how many threads will there be blaming Bamba, Young, The Daily Mirror, Mail, babalyon, Mills, Filbert St and the fosse boys for Pearson playing games with the media?

lol

And I still want Hesky back

Was a bit of sarcasm regarding the numerous reactional threads we have!

I dont want to get banned but here it is again....

Thats two threads locked......just another 400 or so to go......

I didn't think it was that bad and was aimed at the kids making numerous threads, not foxestalk.

So the article has no meaning, but something that is purely rumour has meaning to you.

You're just going to wait for him to post it again and then delete it again, aren't you. :P

lol funny thing is Ive posted far worse!

If we had better midfielders , Beckford wouldnt need to be chasing back & defending , ffs , he could concentrate on sticking it in the onion bag ,
