Babylon Posted 5 April 2012 Posted 5 April 2012 Well, well, well... I wonder if people will be queuing up to say sorry to Pearson.
HEGGSY Posted 5 April 2012 Posted 5 April 2012 Leicester striker Jermaine Beckford insists he has no problem with Nigel Pearson following reports of a spat between the pair. Pearson revealed he planned to deal with Beckford amid suggestions the Leicester boss was unhappy with the striker for failing to go up for a free-kick during the Foxes' 1-0 loss at Peterborough last weekend. Reports have already claimed it could lead to Beckford being offloaded in the summer, but the former Everton and Leeds man admits he is surprised by the suggestions that he clashed with Pearson over disobeying instructions "I'm surprised by all the reports in the papers recently," Beckford told skysports.com. "I have heard a few people saying I did not put in the right effort towards the end of the game on Saturday but I had just run the length of the pitch tracking back to make sure we didn't concede another goal. "I always give 100 per cent when I play and the stats show after every game the distance I run is up there in the top third group. "After the match the manager never mentioned anything about not being up for a free-kick and I have no idea where the reports came from. No problems "I have got no problems with the gaffer and judging by training this week he has no problem with me either. "All the coaches can see how passionate I am about getting Leicester into the Premier League every day in training and anybody who goes to the Doncaster game on Saturday will see that as well. "Everyone is just working hard to try and make a late push for the play offs and hopefully we can get the right result on Saturday." Beckford, who joined Leicester from Everton before the close of the summer transfer window, has scored 14 goals in all competitions this season.
cc_star Posted 5 April 2012 Posted 5 April 2012 Exactly what some people consistently said all along, whereas the usual ****** used it to further the figment of their imagination that NP can't handle egos
MrSpaM Posted 5 April 2012 Posted 5 April 2012 Can we close these stupid 'Beckfords getting the sack' threads now please
Mark_w Posted 5 April 2012 Posted 5 April 2012 Good, sounds like it was just Radio Leicester trying to create a story out of nothing again. Still think he needs to show a bit more to warrant the money he is on though. Beckford has been much better since Nigel came in, so hopefully this will also end the 'Nigel has poor man management' rubbish that people have been spouting out.

lovelcfc Posted 5 April 2012 Posted 5 April 2012 sounds like he'll still be here in the summer than and that john percy was talking BS I'm secretly happy that there's no problem just goes to show how people get carried away with reports

Fox 4 Life Posted 5 April 2012 Posted 5 April 2012 It is a complete contradiction to NP saying he will “deal with it” vs Becks saying nothing was mentioned. Maybe NP just thought it was a heat of the moment thing and not worth raising.
lcfc matt Posted 5 April 2012 Posted 5 April 2012 Suprise suprise it was all supposed bollocks afterall what a farce.why do we always get negative media attention
leicesterisme Posted 5 April 2012 Posted 5 April 2012 sounds like he'll still be here in the summer than and that john percy was talking BS I'm secretly happy that there's no problem just goes to show how people get carried away with reports John Percy has been spot on about us before though, so when he writes an article about us, people take notice.
Karljohn Posted 5 April 2012 Posted 5 April 2012 Be interesting to hear/read NFP's take on these comments, we shall no doubt see in approx 48 hours time if he's in the squad.
lcfcsnow Posted 5 April 2012 Posted 5 April 2012 Exactly what some people consistently said all along, whereas the usual ****** used it to further the figment of their imagination that NP can't handle egos I'm not having a debate about it but he can't. It was obvious after the match something had gone on, this article means nothing for me. If Pearson remains here next season Beckford won't be around.

Babylon Posted 5 April 2012 Posted 5 April 2012 Maybe that was him dealing with it by not saying anything because there was nothing to be said Exactly. Tumbleweeds in hater town this afternoon I think.

Beckford has been much better since Nigel came in, so hopefully this will also end the 'Nigel has poor man management' rubbish that people have been spurting out. But it wasn't! I was at the game so obviously not listening to Stringer and Young and I literally couldn't believe my eyes when I saw him stood there hands on hips on halfway. I was glad when I got home and listened to the moan in on Monday that I wasn't alone in thinking it was a pisstake and others had noticed it as well. Can't comment on NP's man management because we don't get to witness it but I do feel he needs to work on his attitude to the media and fans. He always says how great we've been all year so why the hell doesn't he just open up and give us something once in a while? Would it really damage the team if he came out and gave us detail on the Matt Mills situation amongst other things, particularly now that play-offs look out of reach.
Mark_w Posted 5 April 2012 Posted 5 April 2012 Maybe that was him dealing with it by not saying anything because there was nothing to be said Or maybe Nigel was just reacting to Radio Leicester pushing him for an answer.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 5 April 2012 Posted 5 April 2012 Beckford is one of the nicest guys around the club, WIll always has time for the fans. I think some of us on here just have to accept he isn't the type of striker we all want him to be, He is a poacher and will run onto the ends of balls and score.

I agree mark, he has been much better since Nigel has been here and hopefully these claims aren't true and Beckford is right!' good to see him come out and answer the critics!! Let's get behind the boys move on people !! Lcfc<3
davieG Posted 5 April 2012 Posted 5 April 2012 Maybe they had a grown up chat about and Pearson asked Beckford why he didn't go up and Beckford said because I was knackered from helping out the defence and Pearson said ok Jamie but next time tell one of those lazy arsed defenders/midfielders to do the chasing back I want you in the oppo's penalty area where you can do the most damage. Jermaine replied ok Boss.
