Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 5 April 2012 Posted 5 April 2012 Kasper or Koncheskey for me. Kasper has single handedly kept us in many games this season but I also think decision making and his inability to come and claim corners & crosses has cost us too. Koncheskey has been mr consistent, defensively solid and provided service going forward. Our top goal scoring defender too. Can't choose between them.
Guest ttfn Posted 5 April 2012 Posted 5 April 2012 I voted for Konchesky. The only player who has displayed a modicum of (positive) consistency.
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 5 April 2012 Posted 5 April 2012 Between Kasper, Konch and Nugent. All been brilliant all season
foxfanazer Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 Went for Kasper although konchesky has been probably my fave. Nugent has been excellent too but does tend to go missing in games sometimes
Guest BlueBrett Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 Konchesky for me. He has been the very measure of consistency and his pedigree is unmistakeable. To be honest he's looked a cut above the rest of them at times this year.
foxes2011 Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 easy for me and new captain for next season kasper for me
Dan Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 Someone voted Dyer. lol Konchesky for me. The most consistent. Nugent/Schmeichel closely follow.
loAf Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 gotta be Kasper for me, guys a legend in the making (I hope). Close call with Konch certainly, but Konch still un-nerves me sometimes and I feel like he could hack someone down at any time. Either way, Im glad that after a disapointing year we have got these guys, and Nuge as well. Danns has started to settle I think, and will be big for us next year as will Marshal/DD and maybe even JB I think. Even Gerry Taggart took a year to settle with us, I clearly remeber calling him a useless donkey for his first season, then all of a sudden it just clicked. COYB!!
ithuriel Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 I've gotten old n grouchy, a bit like the old geezers in the muppets and need to not slates so much as slowly roast a player for not playing well on their day so it is hard to pick a player of the season this time around hmmm, maybe i'm turning into a cheap Alan Sugar Anyway, i'm giving it to Kasper the friendly goaly
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 Kasper for me. He has kept us in many games and saved us some vital points. He has saved like 4 penalties as well this season which is a good effort.
Daz93 Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 Konchesky for pure consistency. Kasper and Nuge close behind.
baylisslcfc Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 Konch as he is probably our most consistent performer. Kasper a close second.
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 Player of the season: 1.Konchesky 2.Schmeichael 3.Nugent Young player of the season: 1.Schlupp!
James18 Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 We all shout for consistency, but the most consistent player isn't voted the highest? I agree that Kasper deserves a shout, but Koncheskey should have it.
bluesbrothers Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 If he keeps it up for the last 5 games, i'd actually plump for Ben Marshall. Everybody has had inconsistent spells - even Kasper and Nuge. Failing that, gotta be Nugent. Nobody was thinking he'd be our top scorer when he signed, yet he's been immense and scores goals from so many different positions it's unreal. Not in the same blistering scoring form right now, but making up for it with a glut of assists, not least for Drinkwater's yesterday. Afraid to say that Kasper cost us a potentially vital 2 points at Notts Forest, which marrs an otherwise excellent season. And Konchesky, while solid going forward, has cost us a few goals conceded by not tracking back effectively now and again. You could blame it on having the butter fireguards that are Gallagher and Dyer not covering for him properly, but I still think that he needs to develop a strategic game more like Berner's as he is getting on a bit now, and his pace disappears towards the end of games.
Guest parky0607 Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 I think its a very close race between konch, kasper and Nuge. However i also think bamba is an unsung hero at times. Yes he is off the rails but he has been solid at the back, given the variety of CBs he has been paired with, shown willingness to help out in other areas and helped to drive forward when most other players choose the England-style sideways / backwards pass. Hasnt thrown his toys out the pram when he has gone through stages of not being played either. If there was a "most inspiring player award" this would be my winner.
