Steven Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 City v Doncaster Team News City boss Nigel Pearson makes one change to his starting eleven for the Easter Saturday visit of Doncaster Rovers, with Richie Wellens coming back into the midfield. Wellens replaces Sean St. Ledger in the side, with Sol Bamba dropping into his preferred role of centre-half alongside Wes Morgan. David Nugent and Jermaine Beckford are picked to lead the attack for a Foxes side searching for a fourth win in their last five home games. City: Schmeichel, Peltier, Konchesky, Bamba, Dyer, Drinkwater, Wellens ©, Beckford, Marshall, Morgan, Nugent. Subs: Gallagher, Howard, King, St. Ledger, Schlupp.
ramadaone Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 More interested in the formation than the team - surely 4-4-2
lcfcsnow Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 Not are what St Ledger has done wrong? Morgan and Bamba again , recipe for disaster.
foxesfan1989 Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 So much for the Beckford bust up. Dont believe everything you read is once AGAIN but the message here. Press get bored, witness a slight spat on the pitch and make up a story. SSL being dropped is a bit odd but i'm looking forward to seeing Morgan and Bamba at the back, HUGE backline, could be hard to get past!

Until Bamba vanishes up the field,or gives the ball away and lets them through, not that hard for them.
foxesfan1989 Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 Until Bamba vanishes up the field,or gives the ball away and lets them through, not that hard for them. Come on guys! I know its been a tough season but lets be optimistic and trust Pearsons selection. At least wait until AFTER the match (if we lose)
LcFc_Smiv Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 I don't doubt Pearson, I'm a huge fan of his, I just don't think Bambi's the best for our defence and before anyone brings it up, yes your welcome to your opinion and all that
Happy Fox Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 Wellens starting is the only downfall to that team, would have preferred Kingy in their that team is good enough to beat Donny whether that happens remain to be seen.
kingfox Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 St Ledger dropped for what? He has been one of our best players since December. Drinkwater still in. Pearson clueless, what a utter idiot you are.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 SSL has got a grazed scrotum apaz, nearly didn't make it today

hbkkids Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 I have stood by Pearson all the way but if we don't win today I feel he won't get to the end of the season. The owners want promotion.
stevelcfc Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 Becks starting must be a kick in the bollocks for stringer and young.

hbkkids Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 I agree, be an awful decision though. Ill back Pearson until the day he leaves. at the end of the day the players can change the result more than Pearson, Pearson can shout and scream all he wants but if the players do not perform we ain't gonna win. We know Pearson can get us up there in the play offs cause he did it before with no money now he has money I'm sure he will next season.
ozleicester Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 lmao "Beckford, he gets our full support....BUT" thanks Alan
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 I agree, be an awful decision though. Ill back Pearson until the day he leaves. Well, that says a great deal about some of his supporters, Still prepared to follow blindly, even without success. lol
MarkHowieLCFC Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 Really looking forwards to this game...think it's about time the players proved they are gonna fight until the last game of the season...they owe it to the fans
Kitchandro Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 Why is everyone moaning about Bamba? It's Peltier still getting picked that astounds me. Bamba is not a midfielder, he's much more suited to being a centre back and if he performs like he did before ACON we've got a fine defender. I doubt we'll play 4-4-2, we'll stick with the same crappy formation we had against Peterborough, with wingers in the centre and strikers out wide.

I would prefer Pantsil at RB but NP doesn't rate him for whatever reason I think he deserves a chance Pelts for me has looked off the pace for quite a while but in his first season in the champ he hasn't done too bad.
onecapwonder Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 Predictions - If 4-4-2, Marshall may have a poor game on the right wing. If 4-2-3-1, Nugent will be out on the left and probably won't have much impact and if 4-3-3 Beckford will be issolated. Hopefully none of it happens but it be interesting to see who people moan about afterwards depending on the formation. We better beat this lot, give Pearson time e.t.c e.t.c is fine but if we can't beat Doncaster at home then questions have to be asked about the whole set-up, players, manager, coaches.
Guest Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 Bamba back where he belongs. SSL bust up with the boss. Donny (div 1) is a good level for Wellens to shine.
sphericalfox Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 I hope Diouf has been on the lash again last night! In Bamba and Morgan's pocket
