It could be one of the best seasons in the club's history - Wellens

Having had the season he has he should be keeping his mouth shut and getting on with it.

And as for one of the best seasons for the club if we go up SORRY.

Taking into account the money we have spent and the players we have and at times a real lack of effort.

Even if we do make it up I would put this down as being the second worse season since Frank the Wank.

Also if we do manage it they really don't deserve the reception they will get at wembly and they'll all give it the billy big bollox.

IMO

I hope that we win our next 3 games and then have our play-off place confirmed going into the last game.

I agree with you Babylon , as I have said in oter threads, this league is crazy i feel we will continue the winning run and other results will carry on in our favour and potentially i think we could be playing the hammers on the monday night to secure our spot in play offs!

However if him and his team mates had delivered in December when we drew all those matches instead of winning 'em against crap sides and not got humiliated by Millwall then all of this would be rendered irrellevant

None of which makes it close to the best season in Leicester City's history

It's not nonsense, what's nonsense is you suggesting the form of others teams means we still a chance

It's not nonsense, you seem to be suggesting if we get into sixth spot it's down to others and not us. Now that is nonsense, if we've won enough points to be there come the end of the season that's where we deserve to be.

Of course the form of other teams is relevant, we are in competition with them....... :frusty:

If they play poorly they get fewer points, so we need fewer points to get above them, do we not..... :dunno:

In recent years teams have typically required 72-74 points to get into sixth place, this year it looks like 70 points might do it, possibly even 69 might be enough which would be an all time low.

But why does Wellens have to open his big mouth, when all that matters is how they perform on the pitch.and that is the reason why we are struggling for a play-off place

It won't be.

It'll be fantastic if we did get promoted, but it's not been glorious at all. Most would say the cup run has been by far the biggest highlight.

In response to CC star stating our form had helped get us back into it, you said "nope". Suggesting it had nothing to do with our form that we have a chance, and that it was purely to do with the others around us being rubbish.

You seem to be suggesting our form isn't relevant, but their form is relevant? We've only picked up less points than Saints and Reading in the last 8 games, so it has everything to do with our form AND the dip of those around us.

You're negative outlook seems to be saying if we end up in 6th it's because the others are worse than us, rather than because we are better than them.

For Gods sake! Stop talking the talk, just fooking walk the walk. All season long it's been "We can do this, we can do that, it could be this it could be that....." blah blah, do your sodding talking on the pitch!!

To be honest Babs I feel like that, haven't been impressed with us for most of the season.

But you end up where you deserve after 46 games and if that's sixth then great :)

Agree totally & keeping the faith.............it has been a frustrating season, howeve,r we have a very good chance of gatecrashing the party and us fans of a certain age know what can happen :scarf: NOW IS NOT THE TIME FOR NEGATIVITY!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't either, we're nothing special. But your second point is what I'm getting at.

Anyway... Weekend is here and I'm 30 minutes of piss smelly public transport from home. Happy days!! Come on city!!

Good to hear some belief coming from the camp. Also like the way that the players have given themselves a good talking to. I think Richie is an influential player and it is a shame he wasn't made captain earlier in the season.

I honestly think we are going to go on a run here. Everything just seems in place. I really hope that I don't fall from dizzy hieghts!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

We might, we might not, they may not slip up, the may but FFS lets hope we do, get behind the lads for the remaining games and ENJOY the ride!

I believe it will happen :)

Nope.......

It is the crap form of the clubs around us that have left us in with a chance, however faint.

Our form may have improved this year, but only in relation to our dreadful play in November and December, in recent weeks, even a bare handful of points from the likes of Barnsley, Bristol, Reading and Peterboro' would put us comfortably in the playoffs........ :dunno:

Looking forward to Ritchie's next interview (when we miss out on a playoff spot) very much, you know, the one where he apologises for not starting to try some 40 games ago!

Yes, they've slipped up, but I believe only the top two have accrued more points than us in recent games... so our form is nothing to be sneered at, although plenty of people do. Pearson out!

Can point to any number of games where we coulda woulda shoulda

For a start, Cardiff away 0-0 when they played the whole match with effectively 10 men & never once came out their area, but we just passed the ball little 2 yard passes in front of them, never once with intent

They'd have 1 point less, we'd have 2 points more & be in the playoffs

Of course a win from any of our number of stupid defeats would have have lead to the same

Roll on the summer... (unless of course we do sneak in the playoffs)

Absolutely, no arguments there......

The table does not lie but it is also suggests that the points requirement for a playoff place will be lower than usual. This suggests to me that the playoff chasing sides are, perhaps, less strong than in recent years, the very point I have been making.

Agreed......more or less.

The point is though, that although our form might be considered as decent compared to our playoff competitors, losses at Barnsley, Bristol and Peterboro', among others suggest that it is not all that great....... :dunno:
