Beckford is useless-we would be better with Howard up front Schlupp is to young to compete at this standard at the moment. Who should we get in in the summer to correct this?

Whilst i agree Beckford hasn't been the £3m player we thought we'd bought, if you watch him all game, he makes darting 10 yard bursts inbetween the opposition, and to date - nobody has been able to slot the ball through to him. He should be making more of an attempt to get into goal scoring opportunities, but we also have to play to his strengths by slotting the ball through the defence. One we have a midfielder with real flair and an eye for a pass (drinkwater?) then we'll get the best out of him - i really want him to come good for us - whether he will or not i am not sure. Nugent is quality, can't fault his effort or energy at all. Schlupp isn't ready for the first team although i feel he should be getting more game time to help this. Howard. Can do two things, foul, and er, foul. Enough said.

I do agree with you but these clearly arn't good enough to play, with the exception of Vassell when he's on form (which is rarely nowadays) and Hopper when he grows up!

The number of times Dyer ran onto a ball an just kicked it in the general direction of our players was criminal. Wellens doesn't seem to pick out the killer pass anymore, and Marshall's delivery wasn't great last night. Drinkwater could be the man to do it but i think he's still finding his feet. Either way, if we create clear chances, Nugent and Beckford will both score them.

I personally don't think it's all the strikers fault, we have pretty much no creativity in midfield, Drinkwater is the best we have for this role but he is young and doesn't play enough. As much as I like Wellens and what he has done it is time for him to move on - next season would like a midfield of Marshall, Drinkwater, Danns and a new winger

Yes, but all except Nugent, Schlupp & Hopper (the latter two staying only because they're so young !) will / should be on their way this summer !

Schlupp and Hopper are the future and i GUARANTEE Waghorn plays a part next season, Pearson wont sell him. He's still a young kid learning his trade so give the guy a chance. I do wonder sometimes!!

Agreed, I'm going to write a letter to the FL and ask them to play the WHU and Leeds games tomorrow, one after the other. Then we can close the LCFC section until next season.

Have to agree with this, we will struggle to replace them with anyone better. It's the midfield that needs strengthening - a midfield that can fully support the front 2 and take the pressure off them.
