NP may get sacked?

Probably not , but if he had witnessed NP struggling through the past 2 years, still making shocking decisions (and it is these that have dented the faith), falling out with the players, letting Abe and Fernandes go and then not having any creative midfielders when Danns got injured, playing a weak midfield against Millwall, banishing the best central defender in the team (ooooh contentious) etc etc, then he would have hoped it was flat so he could jump off the side!

I used to be a Nige follower, even when he came back, although I thought we could have done better then, but he has blown it so many times this season, blaming it on Sven's signings seems like a weak excuse from his apologists

Bombed out our best two central defenders in a very messy way, nearly did with beckford, played our best forward on the wing, his inability to get on with and use players to their best has cost us more than Sven ever spent.

Tough line no doubt needed with mills and yes he wasn't playing to his value but I believe he has failed

This season has been a failure no question about it but when we have shined before under Pearson when we have had 2 very successful pre seasons with him it would be madness not to let him have this 1, the Thais have got nothing to lose by doing this. He ain't going to go out and break the bank on loads of pointless players

I agree word for word!

The Thai's have got everything to lose £10 million down the drain, would you in business carry one with NP ?, he did'nt deliver consistency and the owners must be very dissatified not even getting into the play-offs when the pundits were tipping LCF & West Ham for automatic promotion. If they carried on next season with NP and there was still inconsistency around halfway through the season, they would have to sack him and we'll be back at square one and spend yet another season in the championship!

He's a decent hardworking manager but I think he lacks that vital 'edge' this club needs, so I would hope we start next season with a manager who's achieved promotion to the premier.

Not this argument again!!

You mean maybe Roy Keane? Maybe get Sven back cos he had loads of promotions!

Or even Holloway?

Listing all the craps ones is great isn't?, Mick McCarthy, Steve Bruce, Curbishely and Billy Davies would be good options, failing that Roberto Di Matteo cos I doubt Chelsea will offer him the full time job.

Yeah fair enough but the comment of 'We need a manager that has a promotion already' is plain daft.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt, its a poor argument imo

No chance, should have been one of our first picks last time along with Davies. He has got himself a decent job somewhere off the back of the Chelsea turn around.

Poor argument perhaps but if you can get promotion out of this division more than once for example Mick McCarthy and Steve Bruce it shows you have the nohow, to get promotion which is what we all want. The Championship is the same style of football every year ultra competitive and very demanding to achieve promotion you need to be on the ball every game.

The teams performance needs lifting to a higher level and that has to start with man management, inspiration and innovation and I don't think NP can do that. You could give it a try, but I don't think its the best option

As much as i hate to admit it, i think Billy Davies would get us out of this division given the chance, Di Matteo as well

Hope there's some truth in it.

Pearson's remit was to at least get us into the playoffs, not only has he failed, he's failed miserably, we are currently a shambles and even our mid table league position flatters us.

The negative unattractive inconsistent football we've played was shown up for what it is last night,we were outclassed and out played for long periods by a mediocre West Ham side who beat us at a canter in the end and some of our passing would have been "laugh out loud" if I'd been watching any other team.

I was told the owners didn't look too happy at the end, that's no surprise at all, I wont be renewing my ST until Pearson's shown the door that's for sure because I'd rather watch paint dry than another season like this.

Sure it's going to mean wholesale upheavel again but so what it has to be better than it is now?

Sacking Sven was a mistake, sacking Pearson isn't. :banghead:

Good riddance to you then.... We'd be better off at the KP stadium without over the top moaners.

See you around dude

How can you possibly justify that sentence?

The only manager on that list who is clearly better than Pearson is De Matteo and I doubt he would take the job.

How do you know what it was? How can your position in the league flatter you, you are where you are.

How so? You telling me we weren't this bad against Reading, Bristol, Millwall, Birmingham?

Home games or away - weren't we bad against these teams twice this year?

When he was interviewed for the job he must have presented his plan for the rest of the season and I suspect the very minimum goal would be the play-offs. I somehow don't think the owners would have employed him if all he could promise was 10th place. The owners are hard headed business guys, they won't tolerate this dreadful perfomance. I suspect the 'brief' has been out for a few weeks already.
