Eriksson was dismissed after an unsuccessful spending spree. Pearson had to pick up the pieces on his return from the Tigers but Leicester’s play-off hopes were ended last week. And Leicester’s owners made it clear to Eriksson at the start of the season that promotion was a must this campaign, which puts Pearson’s future in the spotlight.
burni Posted 22 April 2012 Posted 22 April 2012 Looks a bit of a nothing story to me. I think it could happen but whoever wrote this story probably doesn't have an actual clue

Tuna Posted 22 April 2012 Posted 22 April 2012 The Daily star is as reliable as us military intelligence.
Guest Bilo Posted 22 April 2012 Posted 22 April 2012 Daily Star. No quotes. No sources. No possible alternatives. On my bullshitometer, this is bending the needle on the pin at the far end.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 22 April 2012 Posted 22 April 2012 The reliable reporting of the Star. We only have to look back at the last 8 years to see where constantly changing the manager has got us. History is there to teach people lessons. Star journalists and seenitall excepted.
DorsetFox9 Posted 22 April 2012 Posted 22 April 2012 this is what i wanted to wake up to, Shame its the Daily Star and not Sky Sports though!
FrankieADZ Posted 22 April 2012 Posted 22 April 2012 Im sure there will be certain fans pleased to hear that..even if he did go they wouldnt be pleased with the replacement anyway...as there fickle as fvck. see its the Daily Star reporting it....need I say anymore. theyve more than likely read one of the pointless threads on here created by the "Pearson Out"sector
leicesterisme Posted 22 April 2012 Posted 22 April 2012 What they are actually saying is the owners expected promotion at the start of the season and because Pearson hasnt achieved that he will be sacked. They know absolutely nothing, such a shitheap of a paper aswell.
cc_star Posted 22 April 2012 Posted 22 April 2012 Just a story out of nothing Promotion may have been a must for Ericsson, given the backing he received from them But the Thai's themselves said "over the next couple of years" when Pearson got the job... So what to trust, their actual words... or a scummy newspaper who has space to fill? hmmmm
shade Posted 22 April 2012 Posted 22 April 2012 Daily Star. No quotes. No sources. No possible alternatives. On my bullshitometer, this is bending the needle on the pin at the far end. where can I get one of them?
FrankieADZ Posted 22 April 2012 Posted 22 April 2012 still....if a story like this is making the Star....when will we see a farewell piece to Coventry's championship status cos there a "big club"
Guest MattP Posted 22 April 2012 Posted 22 April 2012 Daily Star lol I can't imagine the sort of person that would read that.
katieakita Posted 22 April 2012 Posted 22 April 2012 Daily Star/Express . Surprised the source wasnt Al Fayed. A joke paper on a par with the sport. Give NP the summer to do what he thinks needs doing the ins and outs he wants and a pre season, then it will be "his" team and we will see where we go.
RyanB89 Posted 22 April 2012 Posted 22 April 2012 By the sounds of it they just guessing, we can hope though!
FuriousFox46 Posted 22 April 2012 Posted 22 April 2012 I hope it's not true but if they're gonna replace him. They'd better do it within the next 3/4 weeks and no later.
Thracian Posted 22 April 2012 Posted 22 April 2012 Speaks more for the status of the paper than anything else. It's a rag. If I'd been the news editor I'd have chucked the story out. There's not a single quote or shred of evidence on which to base any sensible comment at all. It's a no risk "We told you first story," story which reflects only that others rejected writing something so shallow and meaningless. Even if you're going to plug a line linked to a long-passed quote you'd have to get an updated quote from the Thais to make it meaningful. So whether it turns out to be true or not the story itself is totally unsubstantiated garbage.
katieakita Posted 22 April 2012 Posted 22 April 2012 So many stories about us just state the bloody obvious. Of course the owners wanted us promoted as do the fans but that goes for nearly every team in the championship. Thse bullshit rumour stories will be in full swing soon but it will be interesting who the first signing will be. Anyone off the top of their heads know the start dates for next season.
Libertine Dream Posted 22 April 2012 Posted 22 April 2012 So the crooks if yet another great article by the star, is because Sven had to get promotion and we havent gone up NP will be sacked And people read and believe this tripe. Had it been John Percy and the mirror I might of thought more of it
