It's good. Pace is no longer the deciding factor whether or not you're going to win games, which is good. And finesse has been nerfed like a bitch.

I like this...few issues I have though.

1)The pace of certain movements compared to the rest seems way off. I understand and would expect some movements to be explosive but they don't look fluid, it's still all too jerky when trying to be fluid is my problem. Also there seems to be some sort of inertia put into it which is realistic but not at all moments. Although its a game and what happens next isy decision but I feel certain touches are made without my knowledge and it feels strange?

2) the complete dribbling thing!? How does it work, because for me the dribbling system put in last years was rubbish. Improvement definitely

But still rubbish, the ball and their feet moves way too fast even at slow speeds and this makes it so predictable. Even on the demo with some of the best dribblers in the world I want to go by a few players in a certain gap and then pick a moment to burst into - impossible, because you can't get a sense of where the ball is because it's too jerky and by the time you've flicked it away from the 'bamba esque go go gadget leg', it often flicks to the exact opposite side - irradicating 360 dribbling for me and then a leg from the other side pops out and oh back to square one!

The dribbling issue is a major issue for me because this is with the best players, the lower league teams can be utterly boring to play with at time because of the 'rating' system and instead of building a team that will blend well etc etc etc you are expected to go for the highest rated everytime!

The shootings been changed and it's good. I do NOT want every one of my shots to be rock hard drilled though. I understand they wanted to show more power which was needed especially the need for drilled low shots, but some balance is needed. I know the finesse shot was tweaked also but this feels unnatural and like you have no control, I can smash the power button and it flies at the keepers feet just at an angle where I expect it to go over, I tap it and it flies at the keeper and it's the same with normal shooting. It's idiotic and basic and I don't like it.

The biggest issue for me is unpredictability! FIFA still doesn't have it, at least not in the demo! I can't wait for the full game. But playing the pro evo demo amongst a hell of a lot more faults, it's enjoyable and unpredictable. On FIFA you spend ages and countless times trying to play a certain way or go on a run to exploit a weakness (like your encouraged to do by thinkin and immersing yourself in the game more, like a proper manager) and you spend So long trying something which won't often work that you neglect the rest of that game and all the new features and just try the easy stuff - the exploits- the situations and shots (finesse corner shot on FIFA 12 ) that always result in goals and that's when it gets boring and robotic.

Hopefully the full game will be a better build as this has issues that will make the game the same old repetitive one after a while!

Positives though:

Presentation as always is amazing!

The AI is brilliant, playing as different teams you can see different styles of play coming through. Man city was a great example as every ball in to feet of the front two, nasri and silva were quickly overlapping and the middle and causing all sorts of problems with toure arriving late on the edge.

Some of the animations for passing is special and the tackling is great improved and intuitive! You can actually crunch somebody now.

The refereeing decisions are loads better and the defensive cover is great too.

I like how you can tell who each player is regardless of whether they have their real faces or not , good example was KPB really standing out, some of his touches, subtle but brilliant. As were the left backs ( in this particularl game) which shows that hopefully despite rating or lack of 'flair' player status, good football will be had by all.

Big improvement for me was oppo AI. I've played it loads and even on semi pro I find myself cacking it everytime giovinco gets the ball onto his left with space, showing him down the right works until the midfield drop short and he goes again. Full game - brinnggg it on

Geoff Shreaves has been added to the commentators to inform the 'viewer' about injuries. A nice touch but it could have been better implemented. It sounds a bit awkward, as is.

Haha! I can't wait for that :) I'm downloading it now from my US PSN account. When it's done, I'll be downloading F1 2012 demo. Good evening in store!

Mine has been downloading for about 3 hours on XBOX what a joke. I did a speed test and everything is fine!

Does it have something to do with that loads of people are downloading it at the same time? I don't know much about these things. I've been downloading mine on PSN for two hours now and my internet connection is 40 mbit. Doesn't usually take as long as that.

Ash any chance of passing some feed back onto them at ea. problem I've noticed is when I player is played through and they do one of those stretch shots where they slide in, if they are caught even slightly , even bringing the other player down and fouling them, the attacking player going for the shot is given a penalty. Happened 4 times in the last hour :P haha

Seems to similar to the previous Fifa to me. 10 to 11 was a big step, and tactical defending meant that 12 was also a lot different, but this is too samey to 12 to make me want to buy it.

Mine has been downloading for about 3 hours on XBOX what a joke. I did a speed test and everything is fine!

Mine was stuck on 2% for ages and I noticed my modem wsn't blinking so I started it again and it downloaded in about 20 minutes.
