broughtonblue Posted 22 May 2012 Posted 22 May 2012 My cousin is a west ham fan and was bragging about them being in the premiership. I said now we have Vardy we will be there next year after he scores 30 goals for us. He laughed and said if he did he will match each goal with £1000, meaning my mortgage will be cleared! What's the chances? Edit ::: this only applies if he scores 30, not a grand a goal unfortunately! So clearing my £30k mortgage
Trav Le Bleu Posted 22 May 2012 Posted 22 May 2012 Is he rich or was it just posturing? To be honest I'd be happy for someone to promise me that and him score 5 goals.
Milton Keynes Fox Posted 22 May 2012 Posted 22 May 2012 £1000 a goal, is he serious? Vardys bound to score one goal
broughtonblue Posted 22 May 2012 Author Posted 22 May 2012 £1000 a goal, is he serious? Vardys bound to score one goal He has the money, the only catch is he has to score 30, not a grand a goal unfortunately!
sphericalfox Posted 22 May 2012 Posted 22 May 2012 He has the money, the only catch is he has to score 30, not a grand a goal unfortunately! if he didn't specify 'League' goals then your odds may shorten
Trav Le Bleu Posted 22 May 2012 Posted 22 May 2012 He has the money, the only catch is he has to score 30, not a grand a goal unfortunately! For 30K that's surely got to be worth spiking a few goalkeepers drinks next season.
Vardinhio Posted 22 May 2012 Posted 22 May 2012 ahhh, the unfortunate case of the mate who takes things too literally. We've all got one
Legend_in_blue Posted 22 May 2012 Posted 22 May 2012 I was just about to say something similar. 30k? That's it? A lot of people would be happy with that. You should just consider yourself lucky and be done with it.
