Steven Posted 8 June 2012 Posted 8 June 2012 Atheism? To a good Muslim it is. I think you know what I mean.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 8 June 2012 Posted 8 June 2012 If being racist is putting preference to anything whether it be a nation or a football theam then everyone would be racist. We all have dislikes of certain people. (the amount of coalville comments I get on here) I firmly believe something is racist if you intentionally mean to offend someone

davieG Posted 8 June 2012 Posted 8 June 2012 "I bloody love the Swiss" Most people will answer no. But what is the difference between saying this and saying "I bloody hate the Russians"? Both statements are generalisations based on race / nationality. One is a simply a positive and one a negative preference. Discuss. Is it even true most people don't love Sepp Blatter I've had Russian chocolate and it's vile. I've also had Polish chocolate and it's worse. People think they can go on their holidays and bring back token gifts for colleagues in the form of sweets that taste like arse. There needs to be a law written somewhere. Hmm, I wouldn't know.
sphericalfox Posted 8 June 2012 Posted 8 June 2012 Is it even true most people don't love Sepp Blatter Hmm, I wouldn't know. Sepp Blatter is not Swiss, he is of the Lizard people.
THEFATBASTARD Posted 8 June 2012 Posted 8 June 2012 My pet monkey likes football and i occationally take him to games, sometimes he gets excited and calls out, does that make him racist?
Daggers Posted 8 June 2012 Posted 8 June 2012 Consistent. Unfortunately this emoticon simply doesn't do your post justice!
Rincewind Posted 8 June 2012 Posted 8 June 2012 If you hate all races including your own what are you? A loner
Saxondale Posted 9 June 2012 Author Posted 9 June 2012 Most young people are turned off by the racist, sexist and homophobic sentiments of people like Uzi MC, the Blood Rap Movement and Herman the Tosser... ...according to former MP Paul Boateng.
Daggers Posted 9 June 2012 Posted 9 June 2012 "I don’t want to be the nigger in the woodpile" Not racist if you say sorry afters.
MooseBreath Posted 9 June 2012 Posted 9 June 2012 Is it racist to use the acknowledgment of the fact that statistically speaking black people commit a disproportionately high amount of crime to justify a feeling of unease when black people move in next door?
MooseBreath Posted 9 June 2012 Posted 9 June 2012 Is it racist to hold your breath when walking past a group of Indians because past experience suggests you may not like the way they smell?
The Doctor Posted 9 June 2012 Posted 9 June 2012 Is it racist to use the acknowledgment of the fact that statistically speaking black people commit a disproportionately high amount of crime to justify a feeling of unease when black people move in next door? How do you know they speak Statistics before you talk to them?
Guest MattP Posted 9 June 2012 Posted 9 June 2012 "I don’t want to be the nigger in the woodpile" Not racist if you say sorry afters. Learn something new everyday, for some reason I always used to think it was "nigger in the woodshed". One of my old bosses used to use it all the time, wonder if he knew it was the wrong term.
FoxyPV Posted 9 June 2012 Posted 9 June 2012 Is it racist to use the acknowledgment of the fact that statistically speaking black people commit a disproportionately high amount of crime to justify a feeling of unease when black people move in next door? Lies, damn lies and statistics.
Captain... Posted 9 June 2012 Posted 9 June 2012 "I don’t want to be the nigger in the woodpile" Not racist if you say sorry afters. In my opinion what he said wasn't racist, just ignorant and stupid, but just using the word nigger is not racist, it is the intent behind it. I don't really know what that phrase means, and it probably has its roots in slavery, but saying it doesn't make you a racist.

The word originated as a term used in a neutral context to refer to black people, as a variation of the Spanish/Portuguese noun negro, a descendant of the Latin adjective niger (“color black”)

Exactly, getting down to the Nitty Gritty has the same roots but I don't think everyone who uses it is a racist. Unless they are a Tory of course.
