I think it's more Spain have just been very good.

Granted, but Ireland have been woeful defensively in both of their matches.

The Spanish have looked impressive tonight but taken in context, this 4-0 pasting isn't as impressive as it looks on paper.

Fields of Athenry is nothing short of staggering in the stadium, they knock the England fans into a cocked hat on current evidence.

Just been found out, not used to playing teams like that, The Italians are great at breaking up play so were always going to give the Spanish a game, You'll see better teams than the Irish get picked apart by football like that.

Should we get through we'll probably be the first.

I don't ask you or expect you to cheer on villa plus villa fans don't hate Leicester fans. Ireland hate the english simple

Some do, some don't, to be honest given the history between the two countries a few people are bound to be a bit bitter, grow up.

What a twat you really are. Whatever this giant chip on your shoulder about Ireland is, you need to get over it. Their support has been a credit to this tournament and although the team haven't been very good in this tournament, their fans have more than made up for it with effort and commitment in supporting them.

The team is clearly the worst in the tournament but I will be cheering them on against Italy in hope that their supporters go home with at least a little bit of pride
