Lamby Posted 27 August 2012 Posted 27 August 2012 It was like 40 something games, I blame the time of night I tried to work it out
The Doctor Posted 27 August 2012 Posted 27 August 2012 Yep, so late at night that 40 can occasionally double for no apparent reason. Perhaps relegation threatened teams should insist tables are read at that time of night.

tartanowl Posted 29 August 2012 Posted 29 August 2012 But you've conceded two goals in each game so far, and recently needed three goals to win, at home. Seen the highlights anyway, thought your first goal could have been kept out. I'm not surprised that you are being negative. It doesn't matter how many we concede though if we continue to score more than our opponents. We are regularly scoring a lot of goals, or looking like we are going to in every game we play. We haven't had a single game where we haven't looked like scoring, confidence is sky high, we have good players in every position, and our overall defensive record is quite decent too. Our league record since the end of February when Megson was sacked is P19 W15 D4 L0 F40 A15. That's 49 points from a possible 57. We are also unbeaten against English opposition since then too. We've played 3 English Premier League teams since then (2 in pre-season and Fulham last night in the cup) where we have won 2 and drawn 1. Only Sporting who knocked City out of Europe have beaten us under Jones. It won't last forever, we do have our shortcomings, but we have a lot of strengths too, and I am convinced we are going to have a good season this year. I know you don't like us as a club but don't come across bitter like Lamby. We're lookin strong and deserve a bit of credit.

I was just pointing out the three goals required, I heard Mick McCarthy say the exact same thing about Manchester City (they needed three goals to be Queens Park Rangers, Southampton and Liverpool). Your confidence will be high, you've just been promoted. Winning is a habit, a good one, and add that to promotion and you build momentum. You only have to look at when we were promoted and made the play offs, but since then haven't looked like that side, and I've seen many teams go through this route... Leeds, Preston, Bristol City, Sheffield United etc. Yes the record since Megson left is fantastic. Dave Jones is a great manager, always has been, and he is certainly better than Megson. I'm not taking that away from him, I knew he'd do a good job via promotion, that's why I didn't want you to end up with him! I have nothing against your club, or your ground (which is one of my favourites), it's just some of your fans that I know (I always get reminded how 'you sent us down', 'we will beat you this season', 'we are better than you' etc). You do deserve credit, but there's one thing, I hate seeing you above us.
LCFC FOX Posted 30 August 2012 Posted 30 August 2012 Hey Lamby, you popping up for Saturday? He got banned
LCFC FOX Posted 30 August 2012 Posted 30 August 2012 By the way you must be the best Forest I have ever spoken to.
RedHux Posted 30 August 2012 Posted 30 August 2012 Ta. We're not too bad once you get to know us. Some of us are even house trained and everything!
The Doctor Posted 30 August 2012 Posted 30 August 2012 Ta. We're not too bad once you get to know us. Some of us are even house trained and everything! That's because you Loughborough lot are actually from Leicestershire.
Guest Bilo Posted 30 August 2012 Posted 30 August 2012 Aye, hop over that border into Nottinghamshire and the IQ points tend to descend into double figures more or less immediately.
Fox92 Posted 30 August 2012 Posted 30 August 2012 Lamby got banned?! Yes... He posted 'hahaha' in the Burton match thread, when the score was 1-4.
AjcW Posted 30 August 2012 Posted 30 August 2012 Yes... He posted 'hahaha' in the Burton match thread, when the score was 1-4. Really?? You get banned for that???
EcclesallOwl Posted 30 August 2012 Posted 30 August 2012 Yes... He posted 'hahaha' in the Burton match thread, when the score was 1-4. Bit harsh if it was a normal person but seeing as it was Lamby it's fair enough
Fox92 Posted 30 August 2012 Posted 30 August 2012 Really?? You get banned for that??? Yeah, check the thread in feedback sub-forum. Bit harsh if it was a normal person but seeing as it was Lamby it's fair enough

m00nie Posted 30 August 2012 Posted 30 August 2012 I don't get how this is relevant to us but okay and thanks. we cant talk about other clubs/players now???
Lamby Posted 30 August 2012 Posted 30 August 2012 Hey Lamby, you popping up for Saturday? I am yes, going into Fellow, Morton & Clayton (long arse pub name) near the station before and after.
RedHux Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 Good man. Bit of an obscure pre match drinking hole though. I assume you know the area. The good news (for yourselves) is Lansbury's not playing as he's injured. The bad news (again for yourselves) is Cox seems to be bloody marvellous!
Fox92 Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 Some great goals during that Wigan game RedHux.. Three of Wigan's, and Cox's, were brilliant.

I do know the area, went in there after beating Notts County last season. We have an awesome defence who will stop Cox
Leicesterpool Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 I've heard Sheffield United are going to rename one of there stands to the Jessica Ennis stand first female to have stand renamed after her!?
