...He's a regen though :P

2na64y0.png

His stats aren't particularly 20's all round but for the position he plays I think they're incredible. I've played Real Madrid 4 times since he's been there and he has scored 15 goals off the top of my head. One of them games he went goalless. Goes without saying he's scored a hat trick in the other three. And lets just say he was 1 goal off from getting 3 hat tricks the last time we played lol:S

And whats worse about all this?

We've just moved into our new stadium which the board decided to name after me :D

Beat Shakhtar in our first game there. Rather conveniently lost our first Super Cup final in 10 years in our first competitive game there strong>ression.gif

Rather unfortunate that I drew Real Madrid AGAIN in the Champions League Knockout stages. Was beating them 2-0 at home, then Frank Schnater got sent off in the 92 minute. I actually screamed

Managed to sign Carlos Fierro, went for some more youth in the end but was tempted to get Sow but they wanted 13m but i got Fierro for that. Got a shed load of brazilians coming over the next season when they reach 18yrs old.

lost to man city first game of the season 3-1 but then smashed QPR 5-0. scraped past Torquay in the cup with the kids.

Got it in my head now to start a new game with Spurs but trying to fight my urges to carry on with my leicester save

Actually no I'm not its too confusing and I don't get it lol

Really? That guide I posted tells you more or less everything you need to know. I've used it in the past and it's very good when you get the hang of it.

Finally got around to finishing my second season with Leicester (I mostly play FM on my travels). Had a massive overhaul of the squad as you'd expect:

cashtransfers201314.th.png

loantransfers201314.th.png

Not one of my greatest transfer windows, but it was alright. I decided to continue having the 4-4-1-1 formation and a narrow Diamond 4-4-2 as a backup, but ultimately wanted to try a new formation, preferably an odd one. I had tried out an asymmetric one which I used in FM 12 but it had little success. Instead I got inspired by a narrow formation on the SI forums and widened it a bit to accomodate Knockaert and Sam in my team. It's been good but not great (although this might've been influenced by the fact that I had to learn this tactic from scratch, and as you can see from the screenie, it's not even fully trained yet at the end of the season!!) so I've been rotating it with the tried and trusted 4-4-1-1.

longshlong.th.png

Result-wise, it's been a great season. I spent all season in the top half, I succesfully defended the League Cup thanks to yet another easy draw all the way to the final. I produced the performance of the season to see of Chelsea. I also won the Euro Cup in a strange tournament where my toughest matches were against Lorient in the quarters, only scraping by on penalties. Played Chelsea (again) in the final and won on penalties after having scored on a dodgy peno during the 90 minutes (Schmeichel is a BEAST at penos!!). Only thing that didn't go my way was the League where I was fighting most of the season with Liverpool, Arsenal and Stoke (!!) for fourth place. Struggled against the top teams throughout the season and Arsenal went on a crazy run and pipped me to it on GD :( Could've even decided it in my favour in the penultimate game away to them, but got undone by a frickin hoofball by Szczesny to Walcott. They even lost their final game but my exhausted squad barely scraped by West Brom and couldn't make up the GD.

Tough to say what the next season brings, as I don't have any significant transfers lined up (Pogba and Mujanga-Bia on frees and Jonathan Viera on the cheap) and I probably won't have key loanees available (Livermore and Verratti). Might look to cash in on a few players (De Laet, Marshall, Rindarøy, Drinkwater and even Adryan, who asks for WAY too much in wages) and spend big on two-three players.

In 4th season with Leicester after a decent striker to take the load of Ademilson, any sugguestions?

Prefably someone in mid 20's upto 27/28

Bit young, but Guidetti is quality. Otherwise Kadlec, Helenius, Son Heung-min, Altidore, Aubameyang... take your pick!

Posted

Kadlec isn't as impressive as he's been in the previous two. Vukusic has been very good for me, he'll be mid 20s four seasons in.

Love classic and how you can fly through! Probably my most successful season ever on an FM, i won the treble, ok it may have been in Wales with TNS but its a treble none the less!

Finally got promoted in my 4th season with Leicester, beating Newcastle 5-0 in tha Play-Off Final, Zaha scoring all 5!

To be honest, it's pretty ridiculous that it took me that long, I had a brilliant team but kept hitting crap form around March/April which cost me first play-offs in 13/14 and then automatic and play-offs in 14/15. I picked up Ciro Immobile on a free before the promotion season, which was incredible given that he was worth £7 million after signing.

Have converted Knockaert into the central player in a 4-2-3-1 and he's been brilliant.

Started a network game as Eredivisie teams, I picked Vitesse whilst the other two picked PSV and AZ Alkmaar. The person managing PSV managed to piss me off by signing Adryan from under my nose (we both paid the release clause)... Luckily Vitesse are actually loaded (I didn't know this when I took over) so I bought both Ademilson and Wellington Nem (Ademilson has a £5.25m release clause and Wellington Nem has a £3.5m release clause). Despite my team being excellent at attacking, the defence is absolutely shocking even after trying to improve it.

This is my 1st season as Huddersfield, After 30 games in the league. It's only showing 22 teams but not sure why though but in 23rd is Peterborough and 24th is Leeds lol

Completed the 2024/25 season with a record number of points (81 out of a possible 90). Lost in the FA Cup 3rd round (earliest i've ever been knocked out in 12 years). Lost the Super Cup for the first time in yonks as I think I mentioned.

Anyway 2025/26, least successful year i've had I think. Knocked out of the FA Cup QF, knocked out of the CL 1st KOS. League.. was 5pts behind Banik Ostrava with 5 games remaining. With 2 games remaining i'd pulled it back and we were level on points, I had a superior GD. The Czechs made the world cup for the first time since I'd been with Sparta and due to the stupid scheduling of league fixtures, I had 10 players away on international duty with only 12 left behind. Win game 29 and Banik drew, 2 point lead going into the final game in which my players were still away. I'm away at my bogey team, Banik had a relatively easy home game and won. I went 1-0 down, 70mins I was playing against 10 men and 5mins after i'd equalised. Thats the point I needed. Out of nothing, 89mins I go 2-1 down. Wtf. I can either blame the FA/schedulists (yano what I mean, who regularly push back weekend matches to the Monday for TV when I have a CL game on the Wednesday), or I can blame the Assistant who jumped ship before the final game to replace Lionel Messi as Head of Youth Development at Spartak Moscow (who they also poached from me..)

I'm still unbeaten at home in the league in the new stadium, P33 W30 D3

Physical: Kara on the cheap or Yann M'Vila if you've got the dollar.

Technical: Andrea Poli, Ander Herrera, Adryan, Oscar Hiljemark, Hiroki Kiyotake.

i've got 28M looking for an all round midfielder, but M'Vila i'll have a look at.

Poli and Hiljemark should be capable of tackling well enough to be "all rounders" given a bit of training.

Hiljemark is currently the Busquets of my Leicester side and he's doing okay there, 17 passing and creativity help keep him versatile. Andrea Poli was, in my opinion, the best central midfielder on 2012 but I've not actually bought him this time around.

Worth a look, though, if you get priced out of M'Vila.

M'Vila wants 130k a week, and Rennes want 32m no thanks.

Looking at Luca Marrone from Juve for 11m 24 looks alright, might have a look Hiljemark now.

absolutely loving Wellington Nem so far, was an absolute steal and he's developing rapidly!

Thomas Drage from Tromso has been excellent as well for a cool £1m :D
