Finnegan Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 13 should be his baseline though, really, imo. I thought 11 was pretty harsh. I know he's not quite Dyer or De Laet but to give him the same pace as King and Gally is criminal. And 11 finishing? Bit tight. You've done pretty well with him, though. I'd personally have him on finishing training pretty heavily but then my widemen are always goalscoring inside forwards.
Ozwin Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 Yeah I was playing him as my AMC for a while so didn't really see it as a primary attribute. He's playing up front now so I've changed that. Won Young Player of the Month in his first month in the PL. Ledge.
Finnegan Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 Nice. He's definitely the best player we've had on it since they bizarrely made Mattock the best English full back on the game.
Ozwin Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 bloody hell, those were the days. Does Schlupp always turn out rubbish? I'm sure he was amazing on one of my earlier saves this year but he is awful on this one.
Finnegan Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 A couple of people have claimed to have Schlupp performing above his stats, even shen. This is no reason to play him, however, those people should credit their tactics and the luck of form. Every player has hidden stats but none severe enough to turn Jeff into a Championship player. He has vaguely good potential which people mistakenly think means he WILL be Prem quality if they invest in him enough. This is false, potential doesn't work like that. His starting stats are so poor you'll never get him much above league one. Avoid.
Babylon Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 Used to love FM / CM... just can't put the effort in that's needed now days. Far too much involved with all the training / tactics / interactions etc, I seem to have spent days on it without ever even playing a game, I can't commit that amount of sodding time to a game. I'll have to look, but is there a simpler setting on it where you don't have to get so involved but can still win games and do ok. I seem to remember seeing something.
Ozwin Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 Yeah FM Classic. It's kind of how it used to be in the old CMs.
Guest ttfn Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 Now in 2022/3. Still haven't really won anything with City (in fact I got relegated to the Championship in 2020 before coming back up at the first time of asking). King now has the club record for league appearances, and scored his 100th league goal for the club 40 seconds into his record breaking game. Sad to say I was genuinely chuffed! Still got Knockaert too, he's been very handy behind the front man. Signed a regen striker from Boca Juniors. He's now in his 3rd season (I signed him at the start of the Championship season) and so far he's got 98 goals in 110 games, including 26 in 20 this term. I've not had anyone this prolific since Saviola back in the day. Legend.

FM Classic - you have the option to 'Instant Result' and it cuts out plenty of titting about time. It's brilliant.
Libertine Dream Posted 2 February 2013 Posted 2 February 2013 Struggled to get into this years game until my Crewe save got going but it was just ruined by my billionaire takeover. Going to wait for transfer updates and go again with Leicester and then probably Burton. Doubt Ill buy next years if I dont get into it again

shen Posted 2 February 2013 Posted 2 February 2013 Nice. He's definitely the best player we've had on it since they bizarrely made Mattock the best English full back on the game. Kaebi was awesome too. I remember a CM when Jon Ashton would turn out pretty good, and Stearman of course. But Mattock would always turn out excellent.
Kilworthfox Posted 4 February 2013 Posted 4 February 2013 lil help please lads Ive downloaded the files for the logos & kits & faces... but only the kits are working... bizzare! Should the jpg files be kept in the folders & put in the graphice file ive made or put in the actual graphics file?
The Blur Posted 4 February 2013 Posted 4 February 2013 FM Classic - you have the option to 'Instant Result' and it cuts out plenty of titting about time. It's brilliant. So what is new, you skip the match highlights and what else?
JoeyB Posted 4 February 2013 Posted 4 February 2013 just booting up a donny league, wanted to try something different, have no money so gotta see how it goes.....
Narborough_fox Posted 4 February 2013 Posted 4 February 2013 Just finished 3rd with Leicester in my 4th season, no idea how my squad is distinctly average. Went 9 unbeaten near the end of the year!
Ozwin Posted 4 February 2013 Posted 4 February 2013 I need a midfielder, box to box type. Missed out on Markus Henriksen cos I didn't offer enough in wages the tight bastard. Looks a player as well.
JoeyB Posted 4 February 2013 Posted 4 February 2013 I need a midfielder, box to box type. Missed out on Markus Henriksen cos I didn't offer enough in wages the tight bastard. Looks a player as well. What team are ya? if you can affprd him look at Schinderlin (saints)
Ozwin Posted 4 February 2013 Posted 4 February 2013 I'm Leicester, I've got 29M to spend. My first team is wicked but I need to stock up on some backup players. ie young ones who'll get better in time.
shen Posted 5 February 2013 Posted 5 February 2013 I need a midfielder, box to box type. Missed out on Markus Henriksen cos I didn't offer enough in wages the tight bastard. Looks a player as well. Well, King is probably best in a B2B role, so it's odd that you need another one. Besides, Henriksen looks a lot more like a DLP than a B2B player. If you want someone like him, I can suggest Jano or Parejo (who's not THAT young). Otherwise Bertolacci or Hiljemark if you can get them.
Finnegan Posted 5 February 2013 Posted 5 February 2013 Bertolacci and Hiljemark massive improvements on King. King gets shitter in every version.
shen Posted 5 February 2013 Posted 5 February 2013 Bertolacci and Hiljemark massive improvements on King. King gets shitter in every version. Only because his stats are unchanged and he becomes a year older. I still maintain he's a handy player, even at top level. Then again, I tend to get sentimental about players that have done well for me in the past....
Bugg Posted 6 February 2013 Posted 6 February 2013 King always scores a shit load of goals for me as a box-to-box, but I would say that Hiljemark is a good replacement for him.
Brainy Posted 6 February 2013 Posted 6 February 2013 Now in 2033/34 and finished 2nd in the first season with my Chelsea side that were expected to finish mid-table. Nearly got sacked by October time, then my fortunes turned after I beat runaway leaders Man Utd. Was the first game of a run that saw me win 25 of the remaining 28 games.
BstarFox Posted 6 February 2013 Posted 6 February 2013 What's the best way to end a bad run of form? I'm currently in jan and 3rd in the championship but have been 1st most of the campaign but I have failed to win in 6 games..
