LCFC FOX Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 I am currently in my 3rd season in League 1 with Rotherham, I went on to the championship to see how Leicester was doing for the first time and something went badly wrong
LCFC FOX Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 Also just won 12-11 in a penalty shoot out. Crazy never experienced so many kicks in my life
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 Paul Jewell being in charge is what's wrong with leicester.
LCFC FOX Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 Paul Jewell being in charge is what's wrong with leicester. and they have a Robin Hood spy in the squad
Dan Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 Stuck with those three signings on frees and bought no-one else. Wanted a back-up GK & a back-up right RB but I actually had fairly decent of both in the youth team, both have 4 star potential and both are only 17 so I might as well. Definitely replacing Tim Howard at the end of this year, turns 37 this season he's been an astute signing though, 2 and a half quality years from him so far at just £2mil.
Ozwin Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 Hook me up with some decent youngsters then chaps. Been out of the loop too long. Got Leicester promoted first season, need a striker and a winger of some sorts.
Finnegan Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 Hook me up with some decent youngsters then chaps. Been out of the loop too long. Got Leicester promoted first season, need a striker and a winger of some sorts. Carlos Fierro is still good, can you afford him / will he come? Manolo Gabbiadini is also awesome and doesn't tend to go to a big club until the fourth or fifth year so you might be able to convince him to come to Leicester in the second season. Mattia Destro is out of contract at the end of the first (I think?) season, so try him if he hasn't gone already. See how much Viktor Fischer or Gianluca Caprari can be gotten for, both can play in wide + ST roles. The latter costs a LOT at the start of the game but his price plummets after a season or two, should say though that he does need decent tutoring as his stats tend to stagnate without. I can't really remember too well, to be honest, it's been ages since my Leicester save and Betis - who I've the most play time with on 13 - obviously start higher rep. Can't quite remember who'll come and who won't, if I'm aiming too high then Tony Watt is a good stop-gap. Won't ever be a Champions League player but has good, bottom-end Premiership stats to begin with and should develop quite well if I remember correctly. Bit like this year's Leigh Griffiths.
Ozwin Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 I signed Fierro straight away haha, bulk of my first season budget went on him. Still 18 an'all, looks decent. He's not quite good enough to start in the Prem though, I need a bit of a beast up top. Danny Graham (yes, the Danny Graham) is surprisingly good on it this year but I can't afford him. Someone like that would be sweet. Cheers for the reccs, will have a look.
Dan Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 Neal Maupay. Don't listen to anyone. Just sign the cvnt. As for a GK... hmmm, literally no-one springs to mind other than ter Stegen.
Ozwin Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 Just needed a backup, ended up signing Andersen from Reading. Anyway, I didn't go for any of the advice cos that's just how I roll, ended up signing: Michy Batshuayi - 20 - Belgian - £2M - Striker Maxime Lestienne - 21 - Belgian - £1.5M - Winger Dat belgian youff.
Dan Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 I've been ****ing around with this formation/tactics a little so far early this season: I played nearly exactly that with Ajax once, move one of your centre mids to centre forward and it's bang on. I played some of the best stuff I've seen on FM
darko2k7 Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 You Could get Ben Amos from united on the cheap, very decent back up GK .
Finnegan Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 Goalkeepers, talk to me. Conrad. I wouldn't invest heavily there, just wait until the end of the second (I think) season when Viviano is on a free and then use Kasper as your back up. Until then just sign any transfer listed keeper for a million or less, it's only injury cover. Also, I can 99% confirm now that Neal Maupay does have random stats, even including mental ones like determination. So if he looks shit on your game and you don't have any mentors, then don't bother.
Dan Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 Schalke 1-4 Mainz. Title race is over already, we'll go out the 'Champions' League very early too at this rate. Been punished for having a small squad. Been hit by injuries and the replacements haven't turned up.
leicester4life Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 Is it just me or does Honda pick up a hell of a lot of bookings?
Dan Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 He's been utter gash for me this season. I've took too many risks and placed too much faith in a lot of players who are ageing. Only made three signings and to be honest they've been disappointing. Asamoah's not bad but he's prone to a shocker, Maher's been sensationally average and Caicedo's gone from a goal machine to a injury prone plodder in a very short space of time. Got a fair bit of money to spend but I literally don't know what to sign.
Dan Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 Win needed against Ajax to get to the next round of the 'Champions' League. Draw 2-2. This season is an absolute joke, I have literally no idea what's gone so wrong.
Dan Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 Seeing as I can win literally nothing other than the Europa League this season, I've started building for next year already, and what better way could I have started?
Jordan Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 Europa League, 2nd qualifying round: DAFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCKKK?!?!?
Narborough_fox Posted 7 July 2013 Posted 7 July 2013 I want to the "Joe Kinnear challenge" but whenever I get a bid I have to accept or reject it and Kinnear has no say in it, any idea how to change this? (All staff responsibilities have been changed to him)
