Given it only lasts the first two thirds of the first season (mostly) I have to say it's basically bollocks. Not a fan at all. Especially as it manifests itself in the stupidest of ways, perfectly good players dawdling around on the ball like they've never played football before.
Dan Posted 25 June 2013 Posted 25 June 2013 Think it probably needed swaying that way a bit but I think they've gone too far - it's almost impossible to do anything first year. I've had a productive season, they've just given me another £21mil in January I'm done with transfers though, I honestly think the title is winnable although I'll go and fvck it on the last day.

Started as Club America Mex, they're easily top 3 in the league, probably have the best striker in the league in Christian Benitez yet they can't actually string a chance together whatsoever.

Only team I've managed to come straight in and be amazeballs with was Dortmund but by favourite tactic on this version is almost identical to the way Dortmund play in real life and I didn't make many personnel changes so I can only assume that had some bearing. I recommend turning match day training up til full, only having one tactic set and setting your match day training to Tactics Only until it reaches full bars. After that give it a month or two on Teamwork and then change to Attacking Moves. That's worked for me on my most recent save. Fourteen points clear of Ligue 2 now (no, I'm not Monaco) but it was horrific at first.

The more you keep starting again the more you'll hate it. I know it's shit but you have to grin and bear it and get through the first season.
Ozwin Posted 25 June 2013 Posted 25 June 2013 I was only 5 games in anyway. I don't normally do it but I haven't been on in ages and wanted to set the training and that up from the off this time. So weird how I set up all defensively and start scoring loads. It's like the game is actively taking the piss sometimes.

I can back this up Clement Chantome is a cracking player. When I had my short (and embarrassing) stint at PSG he was my best player, came in for an injured player and I refuse to drop in-form players. Got him on loan for this season as I didn't want to sign someone and then have Honda come in, but Honda literally can't get in the side, Chantome just keeps performing delivering, I'm almost tempted to make it permanent. Also, take back all I said about Huntelaar. 18 in 22 in the league this year and 26 in 27 in all comps. Amazing really, I've not even changed my tactic yet he's somehow remembered how to score.

Jordan Posted 26 June 2013 Posted 26 June 2013 Since my wingers are useless and I play at a lower league, I switch between 4-3-1-2 and 4-1-3-2, play narrowly, and use a 60m-wide pitch.

Dan Posted 26 June 2013 Posted 26 June 2013 I always preferred Lukaku & Babacar to Sanogo anyway. Sanogo never really impressed me. I'm starting to wobble with Schalke. Despite taking 18 points in my Europa League group, I've been dumped out in the first knockout round by Bordeaux I wasn't too disappointed as I'd rather focus on the league but even so... did awful in the German Cup (again) and it's getting tight in the league, I've got a horrible feeling about this Still got to play Bayern soon at home.
