acooling08 Posted 26 June 2012 Posted 26 June 2012 I have this 2m steel pole that I need to post to a relative who's building a little football goal for his young son, but however it will not fit through the post box slot. I tried to open the post box door to put it inside but it was locked. If I waited for the postman to arrive on his collections and hand it to him, do you think he'd deliver it for me? Any help would be much appreciated. Yes I am bored, and no I am not funny.
Guest Bilo Posted 26 June 2012 Posted 26 June 2012 It'd be illegal. Besides which, you'd never get him through the letterbox.
Asha Posted 26 June 2012 Posted 26 June 2012 Should be pretty simple. Start new topic, and then you can select to add it.
Guest Bilo Posted 26 June 2012 Posted 26 June 2012 Joking aside, a courier service might be an idea. I'm sure they'd be able to deliver bulky items like that without any problem.
Libertine Dream Posted 26 June 2012 Posted 26 June 2012 Could you not just walk into the post office and say can I post this please?
Lamby Posted 27 June 2012 Posted 27 June 2012 Could you not just walk into the post office and say can I post this please? But what if he's barred from the post office? I'm here all week
jonthefox Posted 27 June 2012 Posted 27 June 2012 But what if he's barred from the post office? I'm here all week post of the week.
Fox92 Posted 27 June 2012 Posted 27 June 2012 Take it to the post office? You can't just wait and hand it to the postman, you haven't paid for p&p and all that And why did you put this in user suggestions and support? I thought it was another poll thread at first....
Corky Posted 27 June 2012 Posted 27 June 2012 But what if he's barred from the post office? I'm here all week Unfortunately.
Zingari Posted 27 June 2012 Posted 27 June 2012 royal mail bosses are constantly moving the goalposts . this should be no problem for them

Nick Posted 28 June 2012 Posted 28 June 2012 at the few people who thought this was a genuine question. But surely the joke is on you. When people post a daft joke, the majority of posters know they are joking. Why don't they know this when you post? Is it because your sense of humour is very dry or is it because based on the other three thousand three hundred posts you have made that people readily believe you are an idiot and don't credit you with the sense not to ram a metal bar into a post box or wonder why it may be locked.

This was originally in the feedback and support section, on the same page as this thread: http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/82329-how-do-i-post-a-poll/#entry2271114 It was funnier over there, on here it just looks weird.
