Carter90 Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 Wasn't the Loros sponser, from a couple of years back, actually in the design of the shirt, not a transfer. Why don't they just do that?
absolutelegend Posted 24 July 2012 Posted 24 July 2012 It's a football shirt! They look shit, are not fashionable, and always shit quality I think somebody has had a bad day Just in case you care Blueblood, I don't buy the kits because it's either fashionable or because I want to pretend to be david nugent down my local park. I buy it becuase I like to wear it, that's it. If I wore clothes just because they were fashionable I'd probably be wearing some of them skinny fitting chinos that are so short they show your ankles. I'm quite happy to continue to buy clothes / things in general because I like them rather than trying to impress others. On the quality front, I would'nt expect them to fall apart in the first few days. Personally I haven't noticed a problem yet, but if I did I'd certainly expect to be entitled to either a full refund or an exchange. I'm sure LCFC would do either.
Jace Posted 24 July 2012 Posted 24 July 2012 Just got mine in the post really like it the sleeves fit perfectly for me but I am 6'2 and have long arms. Only things I can fault with mine quality wise is the white trim that goes around the collar isn't the same thickness all the way around, and also it was a real pain in the ass taking it on and off. Its a large size and is still a bit loose but thought it was going to rip stretching it over my back. In all as good as we have ever had really only 1 better quality over last 10 years was the Joma 1
Mack Posted 24 July 2012 Posted 24 July 2012 Puma shirts are always as thin as hell material wise. In addition to that despite the manufacturer name these shirts are made in the same far east sweat shops as Burrda Joma etc etc. Brand snobbery then puts a premium onto the price of the shirt. I have also heard a lot of stories of Puma shirts getting snags and pulls by merely being washed. However there's no way Puma would sanction the application of detail to a shirt that begins to fall off after just a few days. I'd imagine the club decided to apply the sponsor detail themselves to save money, and it has backfired again. As a club run by retailers (especially our CEO) I'd expect a much shrewder approach to producing a good quality product that would also be highly profitable to the club.
ithuriel Posted 24 July 2012 Posted 24 July 2012 After reading all this, i'm sticking with my 125th ann shirt for another season.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 After reading all this, i'm sticking with my 125th ann shirt for another season. i would buddy, just tried one on at the club store and IMO they are of poor quality, too baggy sleeves and the v neck looks and feels horrible material wise
SaM 12 Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 i still wear my joma one without the sponsor to most games! just think it's a really nice looking kit and have had no faults at all with it.
Raw Dykes Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 i still wear my joma one without the sponsor to most games! just think it's a really nice looking kit and have had no faults at all with it. I think that shirt was the best we've had for a good few years. I wish I'd bought it.
Milton Keynes Fox Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 i still wear my joma one without the sponsor to most games! just think it's a really nice looking kit and have had no faults at all with it. Agreed, would LIKE it if they sponsor was on the front as it does look a little plain but i've worn this a lot for two years and had no problems!
eaglandlcfc Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 Every1 who complaines about the length ov the arms being a bit to big must have midget arms Lool mine fits perfect but do agre with getting the thing off is a job and a half
Schlupp Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 Wasn't the Loros sponser, from a couple of years back, actually in the design of the shirt, not a transfer. Why don't they just do that? They thought thats stupid putting stickers on a shirt is more stylish.
CH1_Fox Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 Received mine in the post today to find a great gaping hole along the seam on the shoulder before I had even tried it on. Looked very small on first viewing for a medium aswell. So shoddy, don't know why I keep doing it, returned 3 last year. Living away from Leicester, does anyone know how i go about returning a postal order!?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 Only our club could ****up a kit i honestly think although it looks okay, for a big name company like Puma, this is a poor effort that feels shoddy
Schlupp Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 i honestly think although it looks okay, for a big name company like Puma, this is a poor effort that feels shoddy They probs forgot about us and just inverted the colours from Spur's kit two seasons ago.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 What is the quality of the retro shirts like? cant be any worse than this puma effort, very disappointed tbh
goose2010 Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 What is the quality of the retro shirts like? Good to be far, I've had the blue 84 shirt fr two seasons ad still looks brand new.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 What is the quality of the retro shirts like? I love mine! Got the green one
Guest parky0607 Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 Someone needs to start manufacturing the italian template design that someone did in the new kit designs thread. Id buy that instead!
Vlad the Fox Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 I love mine! Got the green one Might have to get one myself. I remember when it came out everyone hated, I had the blue version which I found in the garage last week, didn't fit me so I gave it to my 6 year old. Back then however we didn't have the internet to slag it off so groups of dissatisfied men hung around the co-ops and happy shoppers smoking pipes and role ups complaining about it's design, cost, and the club ripping them off. Things dont change.
