Beat CFA 2-1 today to go through to the County Cup Quarters. Still sidelined though through injury, pissing me off!

Anybody know anything about LK United from the LSL?

Cfa are in div 7. Care to fill us in about them. Got them in two weeks. Meant to be a young quick side of Asian lads?

Good side. Very quick all over the park, good energy about them. Very good bunch of lads with two big lads in centre midfield, strong and good on the ball. Comfortable on the ball throughout the team. Not the greatest up front and not great in the air at the back. They are their two main weaknesses.

Great. We have some absolute beasts who can dominate them in the air. We have been lethal from set pieces with Dave Ashford scoring plenty of headers. Look forward to the test of playing them in two weeks before xmas

I think set pieces would probably be your best bet. They often look for the quick ball over the top to their forwards who are rapid, fortunately today one of our centre backs and both are full backs were lightning quick and swept everything up anyway. Stick all your pace at the back. And don't play balls over the top, play into your forwards feet/chest and look to bully their centre backs.

We don't have a pacey back four but this season have learnt to play deep and win everything in the air so the balls over the top just don't work against us anymore. We always encourage balls into feet with our front three as they aren't target men. I reckon we could do cfa, let them taste the first league defeat at our expense

Any of you know who 'Norty14' is on the alliance league forum?

Always nice to receive some praise!

I think its a lad by the name of Johnny Norwell (?) who was at QPR in the summer but moved as we played them in a friendly this summer.

Anyone know much about Beaumont Town 2004? We've got them coming up soon, they seem to win a fair few.

Used to play for them and still Know a fair few of their players, not 100% sure whose there and who isn't now.

Always confident on the ball and will talk a lot , try and assert yourselves early on and some of the people who watch can be a little funny so just stand up to that.

Will score a lot of early goals as they have pace to burn and their captain nowadays is a good player.

Always weak in behind , particularly the full backs but they play a decent line and the midfield has always been really strong but plenty of quick passing and you'll find your way through.

Lots of pace, very physical, but ruin their fun and wow do the 'fans' whinge haha

Think we played Beaumont Town the other week in the cup on an AWFUL pitch, couple of right nasty buggers on their side too didn't help things, one of the most stop start matches I've ever had I think with the amount of fouls both teams were giving away. They've got an absolutely rapid player up front somewhere too who we dealt with alright but yeah, they're not the most enjoyable team to play against put it that way. The amount of times I had my arse pinched and my little fella squeezed was unbelievable, must be a little ploy of theirs before matches the weirdos lol

:yesyes: We still have a minimum of 16 more games to get through as well.

Wont play for awhile

When this melts it's going to flood every pitch in the county.

Thankfully I think we've only got about 7 games left so wont have chaos of Sunday Weds Friday.

Manwell what are your views on the CSFL at the moment and what do you think will happen next Season? Can't go on like this.

Not bothered mate, we're probably off to Burton (to be decided).

Shambles.

Just as close to us, 5 full leagues of 13 teams. Ref's always turn up. Less of this first teams turning out for reserve teams, haven't seen a team fold this season.

We've had one pull out again this season so will play 16 games it's a joke,

Your league is the worst. Not even worth paying your league fee's in my eyes.

OHHH!

Yeah I don't blame you.

The thing with CSFL is that they can't take any form of criticism and when people have offered to help like Shaun with the website they reject it.

We've played 5 League games, no Premier Cup games or Everards Cup. We don't know who we have in the Everards Cup and we have to play Stanny in a Preliminary round in the Premier Cup? The winners and the winners semi-finalists in a Preliminary?! Absolute joke.

We won't go Alliance as its not in our interest to be travelling that far each Sunday. A major shake up is needed though.

Oh and I seen your views regarding the Alliance League/CSFL - thought you were spot on!
