Tevez Posted 22 October 2012 Posted 22 October 2012 We lost to Ashby Rover 5-3 AET in our 3/4 cup. No ref, Charnwood league = embarrassing and alternatives will hopefully be looked in to. Going faster and faster down hill! If it helps i've offered to run a website I might even offer to be general bloody secretary!!
Manwell Pablo Posted 23 October 2012 Posted 23 October 2012 Going faster and faster down hill! If it helps i've offered to run a website I might even offer to be general bloody secretary!! I think we're chipping to Burton next year, can't be bothered with this when theres a league running with 13 teams and refs every week just down the road. I don't even know if we have a game this week and it's Tuesday Doing some detective work we're suppose to be playing Hugglescote Reserves but apparently they are having to call off reserve games to fulfill first team fixtures at the minute due to injuries (none of that information has come from the league) Hope for their sake they get it sorted because its County Cup week next week and the FA wont put up with that bull shit they will just kick them out the cup.

Manwell Pablo Posted 25 October 2012 Posted 25 October 2012 I best get on the look out for a new club next season then Really? If I'd of known that I'd of got on to Burton sooner. Latest in league cock ups, or opponents Hugglescote United Reservers were told they didn't have to play this week by offical league letter due to an injury crisis apparently. Yet they've sent the fixtures out with them down to play us on Sunday and no ones picking the phone up to explain to them whats going on apparently

I've been told they're doing there best to get a side out to play us but it's 50/50 at the moment. Should know by the end of the day if they can get a team or not
foxfanazer Posted 25 October 2012 Posted 25 October 2012 Looking to join a lower league team, need to get back to fitness. Don't want to play in a very good standard to start with
Maybes Posted 28 October 2012 Posted 28 October 2012 Lost to a side a division below today. Disappointing result to say the least considering we cruised past them 6-1 in a friendly not so long ago, granted they have made a couple of new signings. Outplayed them from start to finish. Twelve out of the thirteen outfield players featured in our side all had a chance to score, was ridiculous at times. Error by our keeper for their first and two deflections for the other two, fair to say luck was not shining on us today. At 2-2 we hit the post with a penalty they break and score Billy Walton cup so success was never on the cards for us....now to concentrate on the league and keep up the 100% record. FC Royalist 3 - 2 LDA Spartans

FC Royalist 3 - 2 LDA Spartans We have them in the league in a couple of weeks time and yet to play them at all. I hear that Rob Barnett up front for them is very dangerous? We spanked Trinderbox, 2 divisions above us today 6-4 and could have easily hit double figures if our players decided not to start taking the piss at 3-0 up and 6-4 up. Out until the new year with broken ribs ffs!
The Year Of The Fox Posted 28 October 2012 Posted 28 October 2012 Do you know anything about Plough Thorpe Acre? We've drawn them in the County Cup but can find no information on them whatsoever - mostly because they're in the Charnwood league! Yeh top of div 4 good nate of mine n sth at City is a cb
The Year Of The Fox Posted 28 October 2012 Posted 28 October 2012 Lost 4-0 today agsinst stanny. 0-0 at halftome. Our lino goes to let someone into the changing rooms n ref starts second half without him. 10 secs later theyve scored from a blatant offside. More n more swanno lads joining so will be improving
Father Ted Posted 28 October 2012 Posted 28 October 2012 Yeh top of div 4 good nate of mine n sth at City is a cb You got any more info pal? Like results/dangermen? Charnwood league is useless to find information on
The Year Of The Fox Posted 28 October 2012 Posted 28 October 2012 They beat our ressies 6-0 which means nothing Should be in a higher league from what i know

Right back is fairly weak, our left mid has loads of joy against him. Defensively they have took big centre backs....bit of pace should sort them out! Trinderbox are massively on the slide so I hear. All of the players that got them up through the leagues over the last 3 season have moved onto other clubs, they were class a couple of seasons ago.

We've got two cracking wingers so that should help. Trinderbox are by far the worst side we've played this season, how we conceded 4 goals I don't know because they were woeful. Couldn't defend to save their lives. They used to have Nick Gomez and George Himan but they went to Star & Garter but Gomez has retired now.
Bert Posted 28 October 2012 Author Posted 28 October 2012 Nice 7-3 win against Countesthorpe a division higher than us today.
Soar Fox Posted 29 October 2012 Posted 29 October 2012 Won 5-2 against Leicester Foxes (league above us) hopefully have a good cup run and get to the semis/final of the Billy Walton
Manwell Pablo Posted 29 October 2012 Posted 29 October 2012 After a week of Charnwood League/Hugglescote United pissing about we ended up not playing which I think has finally put the last nail in the coffin even for the more hardened Charnwood League supporters on our committee.

Have you thought about joining the alliance league? Well run leagues, good forum, regular write ups in the mercury and good standard of referees.
Manwell Pablo Posted 29 October 2012 Posted 29 October 2012 Have you thought about joining the alliance league? Well run leagues, good forum, regular write ups in the mercury and good standard of referees. Ashby De La Zouch is a bit far out for the Alliance League
The Year Of The Fox Posted 29 October 2012 Posted 29 October 2012 I wouldn't join the alliance league because of the weird club names there are.
Bert Posted 29 October 2012 Author Posted 29 October 2012 I wouldn't join the alliance league because of the weird club names there are. Even though the standard shits over all of the other Sunday leagues?
Soar Fox Posted 29 October 2012 Posted 29 October 2012 The standard of players in the alliance league is very very good. We alone have got 4 1st team Kirkby Muxloe lads, 5 Blaby & Whetstone 1st team lads, 1 who plays for quorn, 1 for Oadby town, and then a mixture of St Andrews and Aylestone Park. I agree the some of the teams names is shocking my sisters boyfriend plays for Reem Team
SystonFox Posted 29 October 2012 Posted 29 October 2012 So leagues quality are judged on their team names? Fantastic!!!! What's the best and worst team names in your leagues? Best for me : inter mivan. Dunno why just like it Worst : Reem team. Just makes me think whoever set this up is a dick. Judging a book by its cover here
