Recommended Posts

Morning everyone,

Quick question. Has the away and third kit actually been released yet?

If so, can a link be posted.

If not, when is it expected to be released?

If there is another thread with this question then ignore this :)

The away kit is being released on Friday and you can purchase it from the store. The 3rd kit is being unveiled but will not be available til mid-September if I remember correctly

Just found this, I did remember correctly :D

The new Leicester City away kit by PUMA will go on sale from the City Fanstore and lcfcdirect.com on Friday 10 August.

The new away design, along with the design of the Club's new third strip, will be revealed on the morning of Friday 10 August, ahead of the pre-season friendly against Sunderland at King Power Stadium the following day.

The away kit will then be available to purchase from 9am, with the third kit due to go on sale in early-September.

Meanwhile, Saturday 28 July sees the first items from the 2012/13 GOALKEEPER RANGE go on sale from the City Fanstore and lcfcdirect.com. From 9am, fans will be able to purchase both the black design (pictured top) and the green design, with a grey option due to be released in the autumn.

Interest in the away, third and goalkeeper kits has been huge since the successful launch of the new home kit earlier this month, which saw around 5,000 supporters attend an open training session with the first team squad at King Power Stadium.

Nearly 2,000 replica home shirts were sold during the kit's opening weekend, making it one of the most successful kit launches in the Club's recent history.

Ahead of the goalkeeper range going on sale this weekend, City stopper Kasper Schmeichel got his hands on the kit for the first time at the launch photoshoot.

He told lcfc.com: "I really like the design, the strip across the front is a nice addition, and it has a real feeling of quality to it.

Septmeber? What are they waitng for? surely they would release it earlier for a longer product life?

Release 3 kits together people choose one they want to buy, release 3 kits in 3 different months (most people get paid monthly these days) people are more tempted to buy all 3, simple but very effective marketing strategy

They are releasing the 3rd kit design tomorrow as well, therefore they will be advertising the shirt anyway and by waiting longer to put it on sale, more people may be tempted to buy it, as they bought the other kits months before. If they did it all in one go, people would probably only buy one.

Hmmm not sure I actually like it that much to be honest, I'll have to take a closer look in the flesh. So far I much prefer the home kit - although I think my favourite will be the third kit if the templates we saw are to be believed (they've been right so far...)

It's alright. Will take a look at it closely later this month.

Still keen to find out what the 3rd kit will be like.

So why do we need a 3rd kit if the away kit is black?

Obviously for more money, but who will we clash with?
