TrentFox Posted 15 August 2012 Posted 15 August 2012 Cheers Trent & thanks for the welcome. One question i will ask is why are we not a little more optimistic about our chances?? As it's the beginning of another season why not more cheer & enthusiasm. Don't we "believe" as fans that this is our year?? Are you new to hanging around City fans ????????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bluetintedspecs Posted 15 August 2012 Posted 15 August 2012 1 Leicester City 2 Bolton Wanderers 3 Blackburn Rovers 4 Middlesboro' 5 Wolves 6 Watford Very 1st post so be bloody gentle!! Loving you Manc Fox you been on the same cocktail of drink n drugs as me?
Dan Posted 15 August 2012 Posted 15 August 2012 Bolton, Wolves & Cardiff. Don't get the myth with Blackburn. I'll be absolutely amazed if they go up.
Manc Fox Posted 15 August 2012 Posted 15 August 2012 !! I am surrounded by Man City fans up here but i try to get to at least half the games at the KP but i am this excited every year, isn't everyone else??
Wymsey Posted 15 August 2012 Posted 15 August 2012 I don't know why but I think Bolton will struggle to be in the top three.
Manc Fox Posted 15 August 2012 Posted 15 August 2012 Loving you Manc Fox you been on the same cocktail of drink n drugs as me? Ha Ha! No comment!!
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 15 August 2012 Posted 15 August 2012 Top 6 could include any of the following Bolton Blackburn Wolves Blackpool Birmingham Cardiff Boro Forest Leeds Watford Charlton Wednesday Huddersfield Us Hull This is why the league is so interesting and difficult to predict, anyone could stake a convincing claim that they will be up there come the end of the season.
Captain... Posted 15 August 2012 Posted 15 August 2012 !! I am surrounded by Man City fans up here but i try to get to at least half the games at the KP but i am this excited every year, isn't everyone else?? After last season's delusions of grandeur, I think cautious optimism is the way forward, of course we could get promoted this season, but it is not the end of the world if we don't.
Manc Fox Posted 15 August 2012 Posted 15 August 2012 Really think that we will have a great start & stay around the top all season, think Bolton will push us to the title like the year we pushed pompey but we will win the league!! Come on!!

I agree & no delusions of grandeur from me, i just feel we can win it!! But i also know that most other teams think the same!! I am just a very excitable person & at this stage of the season anything is possible!!
5waller5 Posted 15 August 2012 Posted 15 August 2012 I'm hoping for a slow start ... to liberate a Tenner from DanLCFC!! Then finish fourth behind Bolton, Blackburn and Blackpool..... and then on a less optimistic day I'd say seventh also behind Cardiff, Boro and leeds.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 15 August 2012 Posted 15 August 2012 I'm more amazed by the amount of teams that start with B in the Championship this season.
Raw Dykes Posted 15 August 2012 Posted 15 August 2012 I'm more amazed by the amount of teams that start with B in the Championship this season. A third of the division! Mental!
ADK Posted 15 August 2012 Posted 15 August 2012 Can't really predict anything until after 10 games or so.
Manc Fox Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 Can't really predict anything until after 10 games or so. Stop being so sensible!! Use your heart not your head!!
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 I think we will get or go very close to automatic promotion, NP has built 'his' side the way he wants. He is a good manager and we have the players so don't see why we wont be up near the top come the end of the season.

I'm still extremely confident of winning to be fair.
Finnegan Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 Anyone who thinks Hull and Leeds should be comfortably finishing above us is an enormous pessimist. And Sheff Weds? Behave.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 Anyone who thinks Hull and Leeds should be comfortably finishing above us is an enormous pessimist. And Sheff Weds? Behave. Wouldn't be surprised to see Shef Weds as the surprise team of the season.
seenitall Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 I think we will make top 6 but join it very late after much of the season around 10th. Hull will surprise everyone as will Forest, I expect Leeds and Bolton to do well,, poss my top 2
Guest Col city fan Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 Wouldn't be surprised to see Shef Weds as the surprise team of the season. No, same here
marty78 Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 Anyone who thinks Hull and Leeds should be comfortably finishing above us is an enormous pessimist. And Sheff Weds? Behave. We lack ambition it seems, let us hope the players have a bit more confidence in their abilities or another season of mediocrity beckons. Pearson will struggle to see the season out if we can't keep up with Leeds, Hull and Wednesday, and rightly so given the spending since he returned on top of the cost of the players he inherited. I'm not one for changing managers for the sake of it but anything less than a play off place would surely be a massive failure.
Dan Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 My top 6 1. Bolton 2. Wolves 3. Cardiff 4. Leicester 5. Huddersfield 6. Brighton
