gingerlcfc Posted 18 August 2012 Posted 18 August 2012 I dont get it with our fans we played well today and won against a team going for a draw but still you get people calling in saying we played bad and i said that we played like team who could go down. If you dont have something good to say dont say when we played well and won what else do u want.
marty78 Posted 18 August 2012 Posted 18 August 2012 Some people are just miserable bastards so I wouldn't worry about it. Do yourself a favour and don't listen to it.
acooling08 Posted 18 August 2012 Posted 18 August 2012 Didn't listen to the call ins but they are usually embarassing. Having said that, I wouldn't disagree with anyone saying we played badly first half. Second half though there was only 1 team in it.
Guest shearfox Posted 18 August 2012 Posted 18 August 2012 We will always play bad, even if we won the Champions League people would say we are bad...
foxesfan1989 Posted 18 August 2012 Posted 18 August 2012 Only caught a snippet of the call-ins in my car on the way home. Must have missed the people complaining because I heard some people getting really positive...carried away almost.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 18 August 2012 Posted 18 August 2012 They're grumpy old farts with nothing better to do. The best ones are when they say "I wasn't at the match today but [such-and-such] sounded awful today, we shouldn't have signed him" - what a great opinion
Fox92 Posted 18 August 2012 Posted 18 August 2012 We loose, people moan. We draw, people moan and we win (with a good performance), and some people still moan. I'm sure Nigel Pearson can't win.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 18 August 2012 Posted 18 August 2012 Only one person complained today, It was over text. You can hold to the mob off now. There's just grumpy people in the world who can't feel the emotion happiness, They are lonely.
FrankieADZ Posted 18 August 2012 Posted 18 August 2012 grumps moaning about anything and everything...I bet the ones complaining didnt actually go to the game either tbh.

NP can win - he gets to go home with a healthy bank balance, to his family, probably to a nice evening out with his missus .... chances are these people have very little in life if they feel the need to go on air in the first place, let alone to grumble ! Sadly, one day, most of us might be there. Live and let live ..... as John Lennon once sang, "ah, look at all the lonely people ...." If you listen to RL phone-in's hoping for reasoned debate, you're looking in the wrong place, I think ?
ADK Posted 18 August 2012 Posted 18 August 2012 I love when people phone in when they havn't even been to the match.
Fox92 Posted 18 August 2012 Posted 18 August 2012 Hide. lol NP can win - he gets to go home with a healthy bank balance, to his family, probably to a nice evening out with his missus .... chances are these people have very little in life if they feel the need to go on air in the first place, let alone to grumble ! If you listen to RL phone-in's hoping for reasoned debate, you're looking in the wrong place, I think ? Although you are correct, and I agree with all your post, I meant in football terms and being manager of Leicester City Football Club. Two people did moan today, via text, and I don't really see the point. You're right, it isn't a reasoned debate, but, non-constructive messages are slightly over the top, especially after the first game.

You are right - and I certainly wasn't having a pop - but if you listen to people like that, (who weren't even there), it just does your head in. There's always a bigger picture.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 18 August 2012 Posted 18 August 2012 What always cracks me up is when people say 'WE ARE ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE *Insert Player Name Here* Was constantly out of position" Okay thank you Gary in Californa. Just think, people who weren't at the match rely on Alan Young's punditry so lets cut them some stick
lavrentis Posted 18 August 2012 Posted 18 August 2012 Seems like Radio Leicester actually filter out the people that moan and the sensible ones get cut off

Kitchandro Posted 19 August 2012 Posted 19 August 2012 I'm sure some of them are on a wind up. One of the texts today said 'we looed more like relegation candidates than promotion chasers' and another said 'Looked shaky at the back, bring back Peltier and Mills'. I'm sure there are people who say things like that for a laugh.
samstown92 Posted 19 August 2012 Posted 19 August 2012 I never listen to them, makes me angry! there's always a woman who's not listened/watched the game who seems to know it all!

And I definitely mean Arabia, not Evington
Dan Posted 19 August 2012 Posted 19 August 2012 Fact is the number of genuine brain-dead idiots isn't that high, RL for some reason seem to love making the proportions of idiots to non-idiots completely wrong and in-favour of idiots. Makes for entertainment apparently, I'd fully understand if they put the "fans" in place.

Makes for entertainment apparently, I'd fully understand if they put the "fans" in place. Years and years ago, there used to be a presenter on Red Rose Radio in Lancashire called Alan Beswick (??) who used to do just that. Basically, whatever people rang in with he would tell them they were wrong and argue the opposite. I seem to recall he periodically got banned by his own station as some of it was a bit near-the-knuckle for the late eighties / early nineties, but it was compelling listening. He reduced the drunks and the fruit-cakes to tears on occasion. Anyone else ever hear any it or know what happened to him ?????
