Leicester_Loyal Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 Clarks, Levi 501s, nice shirt e.g Ralph Lauren. If I'm staying in the pub I'll wear trainers instead, as well as a nice jacket e.g. SI, CP, Penfield, Paul & Shark etc.

I couldnt imagine wearing jeans for a night out....or trainers. I have to wear a suit and tie to work - like in the 19th century - so the thought of putting more than 30 seconds effort into my appearance outside of work hours doesn't sit that well, much like my jeans. Owing to tallness and weird long thin feet I find it very hard and tedious to buy clothes anyway. I've also reached the age where I fear, genuinely, looking like I'm trying too hard and that I'm a stupid old sod trying to look young
Soar Fox Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 Look on a website called eachtotheirown.co.uk I buy most of my t-shirts from there.

21st Century Fox Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 Unless you're 7-foot, in your 50's and present a motoring show, jacket and jeans should never grace your body.

Captain... Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 Look on a website called eachtotheirown.co.uk I buy most of my t-shirts from there. You sir, are everything that is wrong with modern Britain. You should be ashamed of yourself.
Tom17LCFC Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 Jeans/Chinos (not the stupid ones that don't cover your whole legs) and a Polo shirt or one of those long sleeved shirts with no buttons. EDIT: I swear Republic's like a zoo as well. Near on every single lad in a pair of Toms, with ankle length Chinos and a v-neck shirt, horrible.
Haydos Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 You sir, are everything that is wrong with modern Britain. You should be ashamed of yourself. It must be a huge joke. Clicked on 'footwear' thinking "How bad can this be?"..... http://www.eachtotheirown.co.uk/default/menswear/footwear.html

MooseBreath Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 Trainers jeans shirt or t-shirt. In my experience bars and clubs which have dress codes tend to be the shittiest bars and clubs with the most degenerate scum. I avoid such places unless I'm on some kind of work/stag/birthday do where I don't have a say in venue. People talking about wearing trousers on a night out? Where exactly are you going? I don't think I've ever worn trousers ons night out ever, unless it has been directly after work or another formal occasion and I haven't had chance to get changed.
Finnegan Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 If I'm out with work I'll go in shoes, tidy jeans and a shirt but the places I go with my mates I'd just look and feel a dickhead dressing up. Polo shirt, jeans, daps, sorted.

FoxesAreBlue Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 As lonng as my jeans don't have writing all over the arse I'm okay, when I was in school only the girls had writing on the arse, now everyone does. Not my style though.

I can only presume time travel is involved and people have gone back to 80''s / 90's where you couldn't even get in most places without shirt, shoes, and trousers.
Nick Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 Jeans or a suit - there is nothing in the middle for me apart from cut off combats or sporting apparel. If it's no jeans I don't want to go in and if I wear a suit if I choose to, not because I am 'required.' Clothing 'rules and codes' really are the biggest load of rubbish in my view, just provide uniform prejudice they certainly don't dictate or regulate standards, just cause division, prejudice and hinders individual expression and identity.
Captain... Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 Sorry for choosing to spend my own money on what I want. You can spend your money on what you want, I just don't understand why you would want to wear anything from the website. Apart from it being overpriced, those t-shirts look shit. Well, they would look shit on me, and most people I know, the only people that can get away with it are really toned Geordie Shore types. If it wasn't for the fact it had been taken by the gym boys/meat-head demographic, it would be a staple at the gay clubs, and probably was 10 years ago, before it became associated with wannabe fake tanned roid monkeys. Which is all fine if you want to look like them, I am pretty sure they get a lot more women than I do/ever did, just don't be surprised in a few years time when you look back at those photos and think, what the fvck was I wearing.

I agree with that, I adhere to dress codes at racecourses and cricket etc but there is no need in town. I'll often wear a suit out though with no tie and a good belt, it's a really smart look.
