RonnieTodger Posted 6 September 2012 Posted 6 September 2012 http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news/england-legend-flintoff-aims-become-boxer-112807195.html Love the man, but I really can't see this happening.
purpleronnie Posted 6 September 2012 Posted 6 September 2012 Well he's got a tv show from it, they'll line him up with a bunch of nobody's and it'll probably draw a huge crowd...all money in his coffers.
Guest MattP Posted 6 September 2012 Posted 6 September 2012 They will struggle to match him up against anyone he can beat if he hasnt had a single piece of amatuer experience in his life and he's coming in off 6 months training.
BlueSi13 Posted 7 September 2012 Posted 7 September 2012 They will struggle to match him up against anyone he can beat if he hasnt had a single piece of amatuer experience in his life and he's coming in off 6 months training. They won't. They will find a few organ donors and pay them handsomely to make Freddie look the business. He'll then "retire" after 3 or 4 fights which will allow everyone to count their cash. Everyones a winner.

It's an odd one, I totally agree and can't see him even beating a low ranked opponent at that weight. If I was a low ranked fighter I would love to fight Freddy for a nice payday and a comfortable night, so he will not have trouble getting a fight.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 9 September 2012 Posted 9 September 2012 Freddie Flintoff a boxer . . . . . . . . . what next David Beckham a popstar?
Corky Posted 10 September 2012 Posted 10 September 2012 what next David Beckham a popstar? Would no doubt be an improvment on his wife.
DJMadness29 Posted 30 November 2012 Posted 30 November 2012 Anyone been watching the documentary on him, From Lords to the ring?? His first professional fight is tonight at the Manchester arena. Hoping to find a box nation feed to watch it meself.
I am Rod Hull Posted 30 November 2012 Posted 30 November 2012 I`v had £10 on Flintoff, I think its rigged Is it over 4 rounds?
ToeKneeHandCock Posted 30 November 2012 Posted 30 November 2012 Not seen the documentary but I will watch tonight. There's a link to Price v Skelton fight on Wiziwig, think he's on after.
DJMadness29 Posted 30 November 2012 Posted 30 November 2012 The doc had before and after photos from his training and he's lost a load of weight. From my very little knowledge of boxing he seemed alright whilst he was sparing.
Haydos Posted 30 November 2012 Posted 30 November 2012 Freddie Flintoff a boxer . . . . . . . . . what next David Beckham a popstar? What's the problem? Someone wants to have a crack at something that they may well have a talent for and you want to knock them for it?
AKCJ Posted 30 November 2012 Posted 30 November 2012 I saw the second part of the three part series and I though he looked in good nick.
Guest MattP Posted 30 November 2012 Posted 30 November 2012 Here's my write up if anyone wants a read. http://boxingbets.info/andrew-flintoff-v-richard-dawson-betting-preview Had a bet on Freddie at 11/8, if he stands up and makes it close the judges should give him it.
notnow john Posted 30 November 2012 Posted 30 November 2012 Hope he doesn't get knocked senseless, wouldn't like to see him like that again!
purpleronnie Posted 30 November 2012 Posted 30 November 2012 Wouldn't bet on it TBH, I have no idea how good or bad his opponent is, but (if pushed) I would bet on dawson....hopefully freddy will win though.
Webbo Posted 30 November 2012 Posted 30 November 2012 Surely Flintoff's opponent has been chosen because he's beatable?
AKCJ Posted 30 November 2012 Posted 30 November 2012 Freddie's opponent has won two out out of two but against shocking opposition. One had lost all 5 of his fights and yet only lost by something like one point.
FoxLAD Posted 30 November 2012 Posted 30 November 2012 i seen on sky sports that freddies opposition is 2 stones heavier!
Tom17LCFC Posted 30 November 2012 Posted 30 November 2012 What time's his fight on? I'd guess not long after 10, after the Price fight.
Leicfox Posted 30 November 2012 Posted 30 November 2012 http://www.vipboxsports.eu/boxing/98591/1/-david-price-vs-matt-skelton---british-and-commonwealth-heavyweight-title-fight-live-stream-online.html
Stand UP... Posted 30 November 2012 Posted 30 November 2012 Can anybody rustle up a livestream? or http://www.thefirstr...tt-skelton.html comes with the expected pop ups, little red X's. Do the normal and settles.
