Steve Agnew Posted 18 September 2012 Posted 18 September 2012 I think the more pertinent question to ask is has Pearson lost the board? Given the strong speculation that his successor is being lined up, the noises are not positive.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 18 September 2012 Posted 18 September 2012 Beat Burnley and draw at least to Hull and I'll be happy
I blame Wellens Posted 18 September 2012 Posted 18 September 2012 Beat Burnley and draw at least to Hull and I'll be happy Well as long as you're happy you are so selfish
seenitall Posted 18 September 2012 Posted 18 September 2012 Beat Burnley and draw at least to Hull and I'll be happy Happy with a draw at home. Says it all really
Corky Posted 18 September 2012 Posted 18 September 2012 I'd rather lose 3-0 to Millwall. But at least HE kept us up.
seenitall Posted 18 September 2012 Posted 18 September 2012 I'd rather lose 3-0 to Millwall. But at least HE kept us up. I'd rather lose 3 away games on the bounce and get mullered at home by a Div 4 side but at last he got us out of Div 3
Corky Posted 18 September 2012 Posted 18 September 2012 I'd rather lose 3 away games on the bounce and get mullered at home by a Div 4 side but at last he got us out of Div 3 I was actually quite happy with Sven, until he went flairless. If he'd kept that flair he might've done well, still never mind. Pearson will go soon, don't worry.

Pearson will go soon, don't worry. If he starts winning he can stay for me - like I say, when he seemed to have a clue, he was alright too, but if he's got one now, he's hiding it well
Corky Posted 18 September 2012 Posted 18 September 2012 So is that it- winning is good enough, not matter how they come about?
seenitall Posted 18 September 2012 Posted 18 September 2012 So is that it- winning is good enough, not matter how they come about? Well it's probably never going to be pretty with NP, but I do like the feeling of winning more than any other in football, so yes - win at home, draw away - win away means you can lose the odd one and you can do it all one-nil, nil-nil - be well happy with that.......
i luv u foxes Posted 18 September 2012 Posted 18 September 2012 I voted yes although I am not one of the people that do want him gone. It just seems to me that a lot of people are getting fed up with Pearson and his ways, while I am critical about some of his choices I will still support him as long as he is leicester city manager. I feel the same as this
flowwolf Posted 18 September 2012 Posted 18 September 2012 In reply to the thread question i'm not sure Pearson ever had the fans in the first place ( certainly not the second time around ) I remember his re appointment being met with puzzlement and a collective sigh of " Oh no not back to boring negative football " Lets be honest what has he achieved since he came back ? Falling out with players , getting rid of players and replacing them with no better if not worse. De latt -Drinkwater- James being the worst of his buys. No he has had his chance and has been found out second time around.
Babylon Posted 19 September 2012 Posted 19 September 2012 He'd have a lot more support off me if he'd actually improved the squad since he returned, we look weaker in every area apart from on the wings - not difficult since the only winger in the squad was Dyer. I can see the way he's trying to play and I like it but his squad of medicore easily managed players are nowhere near good enough for a promotion push. Weaker in every area? We are weaker up front losing Steve Howard and gaining Vardy and Fuctacs?
Babylon Posted 19 September 2012 Posted 19 September 2012 Are you being serious? Morgan is no better than those 3 defenders, unless we're going by who is easiest for Pearson to get along with.. Vardy is in no way better than Beckford not that I rate him either. Drinkwater is looking more and more like Wellens the more I see him and De Laet has been disappointing. So as I said, the only area improved is on the wings. Just admit it you will never ever give Morgan any credit no matter how well he'll play for us. The bloke has barely put a foot wrong since he arrived, hasn't been the disaster you said he was or wanted him to be. Has clearly to seemingly almost everyone on here been a step up from those three, but no you stick to your guns.
Number 6 Posted 19 September 2012 Posted 19 September 2012 Important thing is the board's view. If they wanted him to cut costs and wages I'd hope they'd be slightly more leniant, especially as the football's been good. Steve Kean lost the BBurn fans a while back but he's still in a job. Crazy that we talk of managers being sacked this early into the season. Over the past years we've tried being frugal, we've tried spending tons, we've tries passing football, we've tried hoofball and all has failed. The one thing we haven't tried for years, is stability.
cc_star Posted 19 September 2012 Posted 19 September 2012 He's not lost the fans at all, he never had the morons that are all over FoxesTalk after a defeat anyway. A win under our belts & we won't here a peep out of 90% of them

5waller5 Posted 19 September 2012 Posted 19 September 2012 Morons moan, on a football forum, when we lose. Unless "morons" has taken on a new meaning like "sick" i struggle to understand this sentiment.

Cc star likes using derogatory terms, or so it would seem, for anyone who doesn't share his level of optimism. 16th in the table, having lost the first 3 away and having a squad that doesn't yet look equipped for promotion IMO will make some question and suggest that Pearson may not be doing the right things. Personally, I'd like to see the flat 4-4-2 away from home stop. Does that make me a 'moron'? Nope, just a City fan who would like the young squad to play in a way that is perhaps a bit more sensible in this tough division. It's all opinions. I don't consider myself a 'moron' for expressing them.

Nice point, although I think the team is good enough for promotion - as pearson himself said its a result business, 6 points from the next two home games and we will look a lot better! unfortunately thats the way football is in this league and why it can be so fickle

No he has had his chance and has been found out second time around. As much as I admired what Pearson did for us first time round, I'm now starting to think it was "beginner's luck" more than all else and that indeed NP's since had his managerial limitations exposed by what can only so far be best described as a questionable second spell back here. Whether or not in a few months time we will still be citing the fact that he's been "found out" like you said, only time will tell - that's if he's still here by then of course. His getting us out of the third tier at the first attempt and at a canter in 2008-09 has been much since talked about by many and then the way we carried on our momentum into the following season into the play offs, which was also much admired. Norwich and then Soithampton did actually go one better than us in that way though in the following two seasons after their shortlived time in League One - so although it was a good achievement from NP, it was not amazing when you see what Paul Lambert and Nigel Adkins did.

If you check my player ratings you'll see I have rated him high most games, he has been our best defender this season. I was replying to someone who suggested he was a better player than Bamba, SSL and Mills. Being captain and the main organiser in the back 4 isn't exactly going well this season is it? And we are most certainly weaker up front. Weve brought Vardy in and hes looked out of his depth no control and weak on the ball. We heard from Fleetwood how he was mainly played on the left in a 3 man attack so what are we doing playing him center forward? That gives us Vardy and Marshall who can play left wing and yet we still persist with the ever failing formula of Dyer. As for Futacs Pearson has less faith in him than he did in Howard and that's saying something. Just becuase we have more average strikers on the books doesn't mean we're stronger in that area.

The Col City school of blame in on Morgan because he's captain... it wasn't going well last season either when he wasn't captain. Just becuase we have more average strikers on the books doesn't mean we're stronger in that area. And it doesn't mean we are weaker either, which is what you said.
