MattyFromLE Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 Leicester City â€@OfficialFOXES Waghorn hits 3 as City U21s win 5-2 at Barnsley in the Pro Development League. Panayiotou and Pearson also on target. More to follow...

Finnegan Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 ****ing Waghorn is Rubbish, bloody Pearson spending money on his shitty son when he's no good.... hand on!!!!!! Its Barnsley reserve. Waghorn is not good enough for the Champ.
kingfox Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 Waghorn is shocking, should be scoring four in a game like that not three. And like I said last week, forget Nigel's son it's all about Joey Jones.
Corky Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 What's that now? Three games, 12 goals scored?

MattyFromLE Posted 24 September 2012 Author Posted 24 September 2012 What's that now? Three games, 12 goals scored? We only win 1-0. In all seriousness its good to see Waggy scoring, albeit against weaker opposition, having said that, i think all he needs is a confidence boost which will come from bagging a few goals. If we can get Nugent, Vardy and Waghorn scoring regularly, with King, Marshall and Knocky chipping in - this could be a massively exciting season.
Thracian Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 Pleased for Waghorn. He got a confidence booster with his part in our third goal on Saturday and to follow up with a hat-trick can only add to that confidence. Waghorn clearly has the opportunity to play a part this season and in a team that is fast beginning to look like genuine promotion chasers because they seem to have the attitutde and work ethic to match a considerable amount of varied skills. Waghorn can surely only benefit from playing in such a team. One of the big things to me is that we pose a threat now from different places and from the bench as well, meaning that there should be no peace at anytime for the opposition. I don't know what the future holds for Danns and Beckford but one thing seems sure....they will either operate as part of a squad and in the way Pearson wants, or they can twiddle their thumbs and hardly anyone will give a toss. Look at our players in reserve on Saturday. People like Dyer, Waghorn, King, Schlupp, Futacs...each and everyone of them people who you know will give their all whatever they are asked to do. Beckford and Danns can learn from their example or otherwise, but the club and this team look well set to cope whatever because all five of those mentioned are perfectly capable first teamers with pace, passing and goalscoring potential in abundance.

Absolutely spot on Thrac.

When I first discovered and started following this site a few years ago, I always thought Thrac was the sort not to be left unattended, (probably rightly so, given some of our performances), near sharp implements around the time of a City match ! I am LOVING his new-found (??) sense of optimism this season !
