steviewalsh Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 Read this somewhere else but felt it deserved it's own thread: http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/173355.html "None whatsoever, not a chance," Redknapp told Sky Sports News. "Mark Hughes is a top manager, I have heard nothing from anybody. I had the same thing last week, I picked up the paper to see I am going to Ipswich because I know the chairman - I'm not going to Ipswich. "The next thing I am going to Leicester. I have never had any contact with anybody at Leicester. They are flying - Nigel Pearson is doing a great job at Leicester. I don't know where it comes from - somebody makes the story up." So do you think we can finally put it to bed?
LCFCCHRIS Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 Good, as expected but hopefully stop the bullsh!t rumours
Austin Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 Good stuff .. I read Redknapp's bits in a strong cockney accent, anyone else do that ha?
paddy Agyemang Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 Glad tbh cos if he fails then most city fans will kill themselves at the fact we would be laughed at so badly
Jace Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 Didn't realise Harry paid so much attention to Nigel Pearson's progress....
Deucalion Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 Let's sing Pearson's name all game on Saturday because he has done a great job, not to make a dubious point to the board. We may have gotten a little crazy about nothing here.
Corky Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 Didn't realise Harry paid so much attention to Nigel Pearson's progress.... In fairness, everyone's doing a "triffic job" at a "good club" with "top players" in Harry's world.
GLC Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 I imagine the interview was taken outside some gates through his car window
foxesfan1989 Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 These are beautiful quotes, truly beautiful. I mean don't get me wrong, I respect and like Harry Redknapp, class manager but we don't need another change! We need Nige, we have Nige, enough said. Hope it goes away now.
Out Foxed Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 Didn't realise Harry paid so much attention to Nigel Pearson's progress.... especially for someone that can't read.
Jace Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 especially for someone that can't read. Probably easier to understand when his agent calls to tell him the deal is off
jonthefox Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 Has that other thread been deleted already. Bloody hell mods, i was well for up for it then.
marty78 Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 Has that other thread been deleted already. Bloody hell mods, i was well for up for it then. If he was a better troll he would just hi-jack threads like this instead and he would last a lot longer.
Jaspa Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 Yesssss Thanks 'Arry, some backing in there too C'mon Leicester, full focus on games ahead
AoWW Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 Has that other thread been deleted already. Bloody hell mods, i was well for up for it then. Sorry.
Jace Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 Hopefully they will start another thread after all Coventry fans have nothing else to do now they don't have a football club to follow
Ricky Hill Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 Of course Redknapp is going to deny it, Pearson is still in a job! What do you expect him to say?! I know for a fact that Redknapp and his advisors have met with representatives of the club, at least twice.

Ricky Hill Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 I'm not naming the source, but it's a long term employee of the club, who is very reliable. If you don't want to believe it, that's your choice.
Ricky Hill Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 The first meeting was around the time of the Burnley game and another one has taken place within the last week. Now, I'm not saying Redknapp is coming, but there's definitely been contact.
Grey Fox Posted 5 October 2012 Posted 5 October 2012 I'm not naming the source, but it's a long term employee of the club, who is very reliable. If you don't want to believe it, that's your choice. Who said I didn't believe it. There is a big difference between him having a meeting or two and agreeing to take the job though. I just can't see him wanting it, and I don't think after the latest results the owners want him now either. The meetings were in the past, lets now focus on the future.
Jaspa Posted 5 October 2012 Posted 5 October 2012 Whos to say they where offering him management ? It could just be for information and knowhow, hes a very experienced man
Captain... Posted 5 October 2012 Posted 5 October 2012 Whos to say they where offering him management ? It could just be for information and knowhow, hes a very experienced man Fair point, it could also have been about sounding him out for director of football role, or other role, although then why deny it. I still don't have any reason to believe the Thais met with Harry, but there is the posssibilty our guys met with his to see how the land lies should we be looking for a manager in the near future.
