So Eddie Howe returns to hometown bournemouth then, could this mean a return for Owen Coyle? Would Burnley want him back? Can't decide which one to vote for Billy Davies, Phil Brown or Owen Coyle.

This seems a little premature 'pooley....is this something you have had experience with before?

Only when Jessica Ennis is involved.

Eddie Howe: Burnley receive 'unwanted' Bournemouth approach

Burnley say they have received an "unwanted approach" for manager Eddie Howe from his former club Bournemouth.

Howe managed Bournemouth for two years, leading them to promotion in 2010.

In a statement, Burnley chief executive Lee Hoos said: "Bournemouth have made an unsolicited and unwanted approach for manager Eddie Howe.

"Burnley Football Club would like to stress that no agreement has been reached and Eddie Howe is still the Burnley manager."

Howe, who also played more than 250 times for Bournemouth, has been in charge of the Championship club for nearly two years.

His potential return would be a major coup for ambitious Bournemouth who sacked previous boss Paul Groves in October.

But the statement continued: "No permission has been granted for Bournemouth to speak to Eddie."

Howe had been linked with a switch to Bournemouth last week butrefused to comment on the speculation.

His potential move back to the Dorset club is thought to be based on personal reasons.

Burnley have made a mixed start to the Championship season - they lie 16th in the table with 11 points from their first 10 matches.

Howe's potential departure could pave the way for Owen Coyle to return to Turf Moor following his sacking by Bolton earlier this week.

Bournemouth-born Howe won 51 of his 102 matches in charge of Bournemouth and kept them in the Football League in his first season in charge. The following season they were promoted to League One.

Burnley midfielder Marvin Bartley, who also previously played for the club, is also being linked with a return to the Goldsands Stadium, along with assistant manager Jason Tindall.

Officially left now has Eddie Howe, bit surprising but Bournemouth is in his blood and he totally loves that club.

Don't think none of the managers in the poll will get appointed, they will probably steal another League 1 manager, like Gary Smith or Karl Robinson.

I think he went to Burnley thinking it was a quick route to the big time, but he's not done a lot there and he's hardly had any of the dough they received from the sale of Eagles and Rodrigues to spend on players. Bournemouth, however seem to have a few quid behind them and he loves the club, he'd probably have got the sack from Burnley sooner or later anyway.

Can't be easy relocating to Burnley. Makes Leicester look like LA.

I've heard his family reasons for leaving Burnley were that if he'd stayed he'd have to marry his sister.

I fancy Michael Appleton to take the job.

Steven Pressley, Sean Dyche and Steve Davis are the three men shortlisted for the Burnley job.

Dyche favourite with the bookies.

Also all those three names aren't even on the Leicesterpool's Poll.

What a disgrace!
