The Doctor Posted 21 September 2013 Share Posted 21 September 2013 Decent enough. Seem to have lost a bit of the "angry welsh dissidents" persona though.
MC Prussian Posted 22 September 2013 Share Posted 22 September 2013 Only knew them as a some sort of teenie pop band. Now that hey've matured, they've probably come up with their best and most catchy album yet:
Leicester_Numan Posted 25 September 2013 Share Posted 25 September 2013 Full version now up on Soundcloud, so much better than the radio edit. Don't know why it says it's been up for a month when it was only up yesterday. http://m.soundcloud.com/garynumanofficial/7-love-hurt-bleed?post_id=100005774767700_166382940230864 Just in case anyone fancies buying it (yeah right, it's Gary Numan) here's the links. https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/love-hurt-bleed-single/id703389647?affId=1930871 http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/s/ref=is_box_?k=Gary+numan+love+hurt+bleed&x=21&y=

VinceNoir Posted 17 October 2013 Share Posted 17 October 2013 Arcade Fire's new record comes out shortly. I'm sure some of you have heard 'Reflektor' already, but here are a couple others. I quite like it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49StICQl_Qw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEcu3-fxZSE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L35rpdiHH_8
Leicester_Numan Posted 18 October 2013 Share Posted 18 October 2013 Ridiculous question I know but has anyone bought Splinter yet? I've read 40+ reviews and only 6 so far have been average to good and they're from the usual suspects NME, The Guardian etc, all the others have been excellent. Splinter currently sits at No.10 in the UK midweek chart, something of a minor miracle. If you wish to hear/judge the album, Eddy Temple-Morris is playing the whole thing on Xfm tonight from 10pm, Numan is on at 11 I think

MC Prussian Posted 25 October 2013 Share Posted 25 October 2013 Was listening to this last night It's pure quality - the early Midlake mixed with prog-rock. Splendid. The 2010 album was a really miserable effort - I'd had it with the whiny, harmless, timid approach there. Glad the previous main singer's gone - it has done the band good - and then some! The Doctor Posted 3 November 2013 Share Posted 3 November 2013 Been sent the new Chas and Dave record to review, really not sure on this. Shatner's new album is brilliant though. Ponder The Mystery - Shatner + Rick Wakeman from Yes.
