Guest Col city fan Posted 12 November 2012 Posted 12 November 2012 i predict we wont get a single point, we will lose all 6 games by at least 3 goals. Then anything better is a bonus ...
RowlattsFox Posted 12 November 2012 Posted 12 November 2012 I don't know how many points we will get but these next 6 games will determine whether we're genuine promotion challengers, these 6 games 'should' allow us to come out with a decent points total and be challenging in the top 2. Be happy with 4 wins but we should be going on a run with these fixtures.
AKCJ Posted 12 November 2012 Posted 12 November 2012 Ipswich - 3 points - A squad in turmoil, we should easily beat these. Sheffield Wed - 1 point - Another side under performing, we have a horrendous Hillsborough record but I think a point would be a good result for both sides. Leeds - 3 points - Missing Rudolph Austin now and they have no cover in midfield. A high scoring win for us. Derby - 3 points - INcredible record against them since SKY started broadcasting every game between us. Barnsley - 3 points - Should look to go to places like this and win if we're serious promotion contenders. Millwall - 1 point - A side in good form, can they keep it up until then? Bad record against us, I think we can get a point there. In my opinion, that's what i'd be happy with as I feel our squad is good enough for those games. That'd be 14 points from 6 games and it'd throw us back into the mix heading into a vital Christmas period when we play Cardiff, Hull and Burnley.
Carl the Llama Posted 12 November 2012 Posted 12 November 2012 We haven't got any points from the next six games yet, can't see that changing.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 12 November 2012 Posted 12 November 2012 I think 15 is realistic, although 10-12 would be more likely and still be good enough. If we were to lose just one, I reckon Millwall. I don't know what it is about them but they always seem to prove a massive challenge for us. Leeds and SW I also wouldn't be amazed to drop points at. I really hope we can win 2 or 3 of these comfortably, considering how we've played overall, we owe someone a 3 or 4-0 hiding and statistically Ipswich could well be a good place to start.

God too long ago
Father Ted Posted 13 November 2012 Posted 13 November 2012 Ask FA and the refs, depends how many they decide to give us.
AKCJ Posted 13 November 2012 Posted 13 November 2012 8-10 points and you'd be happy with that? Only 2 sides in the top half, none of the top 8. I'd expect that from our home games alone.
seenitall Posted 13 November 2012 Posted 13 November 2012 Hope you're right but we don't look the part at the moment

Guy Posted 13 November 2012 Posted 13 November 2012 Why do we never learn? Yes, history may well still repeat on us unfortunately! The link-thread you've highlighted above refers to that of just short of a year ago when Pearson had just come back and we were foolishly dubbing it "an easy December" (or words to that effect) before a ball was kicked! While it doesn't necessarily mean we'll repeat our disastrous last December (a costly month which ultimately cost us a play off spot in end of course), even so such is the nature of football that it still remains as equally likely that we could slip up throughout this month into next in similar fashion to December 2011 - albeit when we shouldn't! Furthermore when you look at the type of teams we've got to face in the next six matches such as Millwall (who did the double over us last season), Barnsley (who we didn't manage to beat last season), Leeds (always a mixed bag team for us to play), Sheffield Wednesday (with Hillsborough generally being a bogey ground for us) and Ipswich at home (who we struggled against at home last season too) then at this moment and on our current slippy form, then it doesn't bode too well.....
Bluetintedspecs Posted 13 November 2012 Posted 13 November 2012 8-10 points Your PMA deserted you Seenitall?
seenitall Posted 13 November 2012 Posted 13 November 2012 Your PMA deserted you Seenitall? No - I think that is realistic with the teams we are playing and the form we are in - if we recover it will be towards the end of the run IMO - Ipswich have turned a corner and Millwall are hard to beat so only 2 pts there if lucky - Leeds is a tough game for us and Derby we should win - the rest is lap of the gods
Jfox Posted 13 November 2012 Posted 13 November 2012 Ipswich - 1 point (1-1) Sheffield Wednesday - 0 points (2-0) Leeds - 3 points (1-2) Derby 1 point (0-0) Barnsley - 3 points (4-0) Millwall - 0 points (2-1) 8/18 points

Given that you seem to be in an argumentative/grumpy mood, why don't we try to make something good come out of this. For every point we get below 12, I will give £5 to a charity of your choice. For every point we get above 12, you give £5 to a charity of my choice. This way, if we do as badly as (or even better than) you fear, not only will you have the satisfaction of being proved right but something you care about will get rewarded. What say you?
Bilbo Posted 14 November 2012 Posted 14 November 2012 Ipswich - 3 points Sheffield Wednesday - 3 points Leeds - 0 points Derby - 3 points Barnsley - 1 point Millwall - 0 points
Guest BlueBrett Posted 14 November 2012 Posted 14 November 2012 Ipswich - 3 Should really win this and kind of need to after going 4 games without one. Sheffield Wednesday - 3 Seen them 3 times this season and they've always looked terrible Leeds - 3 Leeds just poor. Every year I think this will be the season they come good but they never do. Derby 1 Unpredictable Derby team. Think they'll play well and nick a point. Barnsley - 3 Another game we should really win Millwall - 0 Such a miserable trip there last year that I'm not going this. Don't fancy us to get anything and don't fancy being kept in a cage for half an hour at full time. Total = 13/18

In principle I agree but I don't particularly want to be wanting us to perform badly so I can save money. Still, as there is virtually no chance of me losing I accept, you'll have to remind me at the end of the run though (unless we lose and then draw in our next 2) if I have 'lost' I suppose I will at least have the satisfaction of seeing us still in the top 6
