Boudewijn Zenden as his assistant seems like a strange choice. I see the logic of having a former Chelsea player in to appease the fans and he knows Benitez from his Liverpool days but he's never held a coaching position before and you'd assume they'll need to hit the ground running in an interim role.

I do wonder if Benitez's appointment is t get the best out of Fernando, interesting comment on the BBC gossip column, RDM was told he would be sacked if he didn't play Torres on Tuesday.
