Bugg Posted 2 December 2012 Posted 2 December 2012 Let me put this to you then. How would have you felt last season if it was Matt Mills or Jermaine Beckford doing that whilst playing for us? I'd still find it funny, seems like you're a little bitter about the fact he's making more money than anyone on this forum will ever make.
Fox92 Posted 2 December 2012 Posted 2 December 2012 I'd still find it funny, seems like you're a little bitter about the fact he's making more money than anyone on this forum will ever make. No, it's just not right. He wouldn't have all that money if it wasn't for 20,000/25,000 (or whatever) hardworking people. Fans work every day and then spend the money watching their side. Then you get average players like Ridgewell doing this. My humour must be different to everyone else here, because I don't find this funny at all.
Soar Fox Posted 2 December 2012 Posted 2 December 2012 I'd still find it funny, seems like you're a little bitter about the fact he's making more money than anyone on this forum will ever make. Really? You must be very comfortable and have no money worries then. Not bitter at all, I earn a good wage for someone my age and have got a good job. I guess it's just not my type of humour.
Saxondale Posted 2 December 2012 Posted 2 December 2012 Whats the problem?? I'd do the same if I could. Question we should be asking is...why when you're earning 20k a week is your bathroom so shit? I was thinking that! What a cock.
Zingari Posted 2 December 2012 Posted 2 December 2012 Surely the Sun Headline should have been, "Pooh! What a Scorcher"
Super_horns Posted 2 December 2012 Posted 2 December 2012 Nobody is forced to pay to watch him play football, you could argue it's more value for money to wipe your arse with a £20 note than go and watch grown men kick abit of leather around a football pitch. That is good point and when people say footballers get over-paid and the prices are too high which is true they will say "if you don't like it,don't go/pay" The less money clubs get the less players will earn and if they have any sense prices would be dropped although in the Premiership I think clubs rely on the Sky money to pay silly wages.
foxesfan1989 Posted 2 December 2012 Posted 2 December 2012 Perhaps he was making the point that all money is just transient. It only has the value of what the government places on it and that ultimately it is worthless paper and can never make us internally happy. Perhaps I said...

I doubt he's that clever to think of something like that.

He's only just learnt to brush his teeth and tie his shoelaces unsupervised, so I doubt he's moved onto intellectual stuff like that.
Maybes Posted 2 December 2012 Posted 2 December 2012 The Sun have really netted themselves here. Bunch of clowns.
Super_horns Posted 3 December 2012 Posted 3 December 2012 His team-mate certainly took the mick out of him! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2242272/Liam-Ridgewell-exposed-toilet-picture-20-notes.html
definitely not finners Posted 3 December 2012 Posted 3 December 2012 The people who think this is cool 'LAD' banter annoy me more than Ridgewell himself, tbh. Some footballer being a nob is hardly worth a story in a paper and the irony is if the Sun hadn't reported it most people wouldn't have known about it to be offended anyway. Pretty tragic if anyone finds it genuinely funny, though. Even worse if the likes of Matt think it's hilarious to do it to someone's face. Says a lot about what's wrong with our culture really. Oh well.
goose2010 Posted 3 December 2012 Posted 3 December 2012 It was a bet he had with a mate that he won he sent it to his mate! Big deal but for the paper to say he is the vilest football ever! That's just shocking
Tielemans63 Posted 3 December 2012 Posted 3 December 2012 What a disgrace. Thank God we've got the Sun journos to act as our moral compass.
Danno Posted 3 December 2012 Posted 3 December 2012 Wow he makes more than a million a year. He's shlt
MC Prussian Posted 4 December 2012 Posted 4 December 2012 Wow he makes more than a million a year. He's shlt He's inside the Top 30 Premier League defenders at the moment, the 7th best English defender and he's been flying high with West Brom lately. Surely he must be shit then and not worth a million a year.
AyewJoking Posted 4 December 2012 Posted 4 December 2012 that is sick. a £20 with shÃt on it is still legal tender right?
ealingfox Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 He's inside the Top 30 Premier League defenders at the moment, the 7th best English defender and he's been flying high with West Brom lately. Surely he must be shit then and not worth a million a year. - don't know about that, poor shout. Terry, Jags, Cahill, Lescott, Baines, Cole, G. Johnson, Richards, Walker, Jones, Ferdinand, Shawcross all more highly-rated, and they're just the less debatable ones. Also Wes Morgan > Ridgewell.
Raj Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 It was done as a personal joke apparently the snap was just meant for his mate!!! Good mate to spread it to ever cock he knows! Still sums up overpaid w@nker footballers though...scum
