Guest Bilo Posted 5 January 2013 Posted 5 January 2013 Must admit It's not neccesarily the country but the club, not neccesarily just the clubs fault Ah Daffodils. We all love 'em.
yorkie1999 Posted 5 January 2013 Posted 5 January 2013 This is just absolutely ridiculous, I saw the stewards getting a bit flappy but didn't think they were making a fuss about throwing a plastic bag. Power crazy and not using a bit of commen sense IMO. How can confetti or a plastic bag be described as a missile, a missile is an object that has a target! This is just not in the interest of the club and whoever is responsible needs sacking.
anotherharboroughfox Posted 5 January 2013 Posted 5 January 2013 Danny boy from Aberystwyth, Came back down to Leicester, Got ****ed over by LCFC, Free our little weasel. Tune - Pop goes the weasel.
Munshi Posted 5 January 2013 Posted 5 January 2013 Stewards couldnt do anything while the match was going on but decided to get you after the game. cvnts

If stringer can get this on the radio and we can get it doing the rounds on twitter it could turn out to be extremely embarrassing for the club IMO and could cause them to lay off in the future
foxile5 Posted 5 January 2013 Posted 5 January 2013 What a pathetic bunch of jobsworth ***** the police are. For saying they're supposed to be a 'serious' organisation they ought to be ashamed for wasting man hours and, lest we forget, tax pounds in processing this. It shouldn't have got as far as this no-way. I have yet to meet a mature, fair or reasonable copper. They're all ****ing *****. This just serves to underline the lack of common sense in that foul, fetid and corrupt organisation.
yorkie1999 Posted 5 January 2013 Posted 5 January 2013 Kevin Barclay, or his assistant as the coppers tried to tell me. Well he's a prat then. You can't blame the police cos all they'll get told is " an incident as has occurred with someone throwing missiles and this guy has been spotted on CCTV throwing" . This is solely down to the stewards not applying any discretion or common sense
Guest Bilo Posted 5 January 2013 Posted 5 January 2013 Most of the stewards as individuals want to use common sense, they're fairly reasonable on the whole.
anotherharboroughfox Posted 5 January 2013 Posted 5 January 2013 Most of the stewards as individuals want to use common sense, they're fairly reasonable on the whole. agreed. When they threatened me for criminal damage, even the 'head' steward had a joke about it. It all stems down from (mods can we get a daffodil emoticon please)

Handing out a caution for this is at the behest of the police. At this point you would look to your EMERGENCY SERVICE to act like adults and decide that a sandwich bag, that most deadly of objects, isn't actually worth the time, money and effort of issuing a caution.

Guest Bilo Posted 5 January 2013 Posted 5 January 2013 Well unfortunealy the steward responsible this time hasn't. It's difficult to judge that without knowing what orders the steward has had down the radio.
Munshi Posted 5 January 2013 Posted 5 January 2013 Saw all the stewards pointing towards that way after they told us to stop hitting the back wall thing, And one steward alerted all the other stewards which made it much worse than it was

I know what you're saying but it's the stewards that advise the police as to what's occurred. I bet the stewards didn't tell the police that someone in the crowd was throwing confetti and plastic bags

I bet the stewards didn't tell the police that someone in the crowd was throwing confetti and plastic bags We've established that the police both had 'evidence' and used CCTV. The moment they saw the CCTV they should've exercised common sense. They chose not to. I don't care how petty or ridiculous our club is, it's both and frequently. I DO care about about how petty (arresting and cautioning someone for throwing a sandwich bag) and underhand (not giving the correct evidence back) our police force is. There isn't a single police officer that I have a shred of respect for, bunch of workshy *****. Lest we forget this organisation is set up to protect us and work for us under our auspices. I see none of this happening at any point in time and quite the opposite happening on a regular basis. This is just another drop of urine in the ocean of piss that is our police force. A question worth asking is do you think it would've got this far if the offender had been an off duty copper....'cause it wouldn't, 'cause they're an awful, vindictive and sly institution.
allotment-fox Posted 5 January 2013 Posted 5 January 2013 some stewards need need to relax a little on the day and not be so confrontational, or it just snowballs like the situation with that steward at Hull

The apparent Knockaert saga showed the police in the same light. For some reason they go power crazy when they put on that hat and show little respect to the public hence why they get little respect back
Manwell Pablo Posted 5 January 2013 Posted 5 January 2013 Sgould he have had a lawyer present?do they ask if you require one for acceepting a caution?its wrong if they dont given the implications This isn't the bill mate . You request a lawyer in a situation like that you're making a rod for your own back. Sad to hear this story but unfortuantly it's a reflection of modern day football, sadly our money is no longer required to keep our club afloat so the days of us behaving how we want and a stadium being our own are long gone. I do sympathise as I've been ejected and banned for the terrible of crime of "persistant standing" when I was leaning against the back of the stadium when the guy in front of me was stood up ( and I was obviously on the back row) but there's little chance of this getting over turned unless you can appeal to their better nature (i.e pointing out the implications it has for future employment and apologising instead of fighting for your right to throw things in the stadium) The police wont want to know and the club will almost certainly want nothing to do with it. At the end of the day even attempting to throw a missle on to the pitch (which if you even threw it in the general direction of the pitch with some force will be impossible to disprove) is, like what I did, by the letter of the law, an offence. Best of luck anyway, and I would say if I were you don't go back but I did so I can't . Sadly as a direct result of what happened to me I'm more interested in watching the game then attempting to fight the power and make any kind of contribution to the atmosphere at The King Power. I've seen countless people chucked out and arrested for petty shit and non of them have ever changed anything, Im afraid the latest bunch of freedom fighters will end up the same.
