ealingfox Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 He's been on loan at a club who finished 2nd in the top Dutch division last year scoring 20 goals in the process..... I meant since that...
indierich06 Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 Well if he's so incredible how come he's not making any progress towards the Man City team? He can't rot away in the reserves forever. I've said before that I'd love to have him here. However, I highly doubt Man City would want him to drop down to the Championship and I'm sure that after playing for Feyenoord last season, he's hardly going to want to come to Leicester City - he's going to want to progress.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 Not a chance imo maybe if Sven was still here, we will probably go for Wickham from Sunderland if MON is able to gets his targets in. Why are people still obsessed with Wickham?! He doesn't score any goals!
Haydos Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 I meant since that... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2186252/John-Guidettis-Sunderland-threatened-virus.html
kingfox Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 John Moncur Is he going to be our next manager?
ealingfox Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 http://www.dailymail...ened-virus.html He got a virus in April when he got back from Holland which almost made him paralysed. He's been out since then. He's only 20 and the strikers in front of him at the club are Sergio Aguero, Carlos Tevez, Mario Balotelli and Edin Dzeko. Need I say anymore? Well the injury/illness is fair enough, so we can only speculate on whether he'd have been involved or not, but if he really was all that he should have seen some Carling Cup minutes and places on the bench. He hasn't played since April. He almost lost the use of his legs because of the illness. Basically had to learn to walk again. So how do you expect him to pick up some Carling Cup minutes? Yes, I heard you the first time, and said it was a fair enough reason for having not done anything. Thanks, we've covered the virus though.
Haydos Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 Thanks, we've covered the virus though I think. You're still acting like he has something to prove and he should be playing though. I really don't understand your point.
ealingfox Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 You're still acting like he has something to prove and he should be playing though. I really don't understand your point. How am I still acting like he has something to prove? In the early part of the thread I looked at his stats, saw he'd done nothing since coming back from Feyenoord, suggested that he might not be all that, then the illness was pointed out to me, and I said it was fair enough. Any posts after that were pointing this out to people who took one of the posts out of context and misunderstood it.
The People's Hero Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 Ex-Kent (and briefly somehow England) seamer Dean Headley.
Guest Col city fan Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 Why do we keep insisting on signing unproven players? Lets sign a Championship striker who's currently on form.
Mark_w Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 Why do we keep insisting on signing unproven players? Lets sign a Championship striker who's currently on form. What will we do with the two on form Championship strikers we've got?
sdb Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 Too big a name now and was linked heavily 18 months ago. No goer.
Guest NGoloMode Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 Haven't seen much but I reckon he's too good for us after that loan spell at Feyenord.
muzzy1981 Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 Linked ages ago under Sven. Maybe have been a Pearson signing prior to his 20 goals for Feynenoord to expensive now. When you ever put forward potential signings bear in mind Nige doesn't do over £1m

Guest MattP Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 Well, that's bollocks. It's amazing the absolute shit people write on here trying to pass it off as fact isnt it? As for this guy, no chance, will be going to a far bigger side than we currently are if his Feynoord form is anything to go by. Maybe if Sven was here we could have got him in to sit on the bench while he played Wellens.
Mack Posted 7 December 2012 Author Posted 7 December 2012 Personally I dont see the Eredivisie as being any better than the Championship. One or two teams maybe, the rest is a similar standard and in some cases worse. This lad has been injured and needs game time somewhere. I was only suggesting a loan to bolster our attacking options would be mutually beneficial.
