purpleronnie Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 I beg to differ but £15 is the right price for a game of football I beg to differ but £15 is the right price for a game of football For the fans yes, but not financially for the club.
Out Foxed Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Anything less than 25,000 and the club should not do them. £15 is a bargain and with our current position there are no excuses. We argue that we would fill the ground if tickets are cheaper, well today they are half price pretty much. Odd that so many are stating a mere 22,000? pretty much

I don't think anyone is saying that, but we'd obviously get more and I don't think the attednances we're getting this season a re a fair reflection of what we should be getting. It's been proven that we can get around 28K for cheap fixtures (I'm not sure what the price comparison is with today's game).
ealingfox Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Nice ground, not enough fans, nice ground, not enough fans
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 For the ticket prices... If the away team had been someone decent that didn't bring about 200 fans, the attendance would be closer to 25,000 and everything would be rosy. Stop moaning.
skinnydipper Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 pretty close Att: 23,579 Would only have been 23,500 without their lot
Dan Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 The excuses need to stop. Today's attendance was an absolute joke and sadly don't expect the prices to come down any time soon. It was a good chance to show that cheap pricing is the way forward and the crowd speaks volumes, that was hardly any more than previous games. Shocking 'atmosphere' to boot.
Corky Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Can't blame the owners today. Cheap tickets and given our recent home results I'd expected a crowd in excess of 26k. All this will result in is prices staying the same, as it can't be proved we'll get significantly bigger crowds with lower prices.
rico Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 New Years Day next cheap one with vouchers out the Leics Mercury
MattGamble92 Posted 9 December 2012 Posted 9 December 2012 23,000 for a game just before xmas against Barnsley? Poor? You'd struggle to see that sort of crowd at some Premier League games. Forest did 'Kid a Quid' and got 19,000. Similar sort of opponent (who brought more of an away following). Perspective is needed.
Dan Posted 9 December 2012 Posted 9 December 2012 Kid a quid isn't even close to as good a deal as we did. I'm aware it's not a brilliant time for an attendance but 23,000 is what I'd expect from someone midtable. I bet Southampton were getting more.
