StanSP Posted 7 July 2013 Posted 7 July 2013 The Marussia rolling back, driver-less, was quite amusing. Although could have been a lot worse, it wasn't.
Amin Posted 7 July 2013 Posted 7 July 2013 Great battle between the top 4, glad Grosjean held off Alonso.
DennisNedry Posted 7 July 2013 Posted 7 July 2013 Good race, but very disappointing conclusion with Kimi just missing out. I really hope Kimi gets that Red Bull, Vettel needs some competition.
isaidno Posted 7 July 2013 Posted 7 July 2013 The camera man has a broken shoulder and bruised ribs . That was so close to being fatal. Red bull fined £30,000 for it
Super_horns Posted 7 July 2013 Posted 7 July 2013 The camera man has a broken shoulder and bruised ribs . That was so close to being fatal. Red bull fined £30,000 for it Lucky lad. Not seen the race itself but good to see Lotus and Mclaren find some form.
Brainy Posted 7 July 2013 Posted 7 July 2013 The camera man has a broken shoulder and bruised ribs . That was so close to being fatal. Red bull fined £30,000 for it But apparently it was funny
Amin Posted 7 July 2013 Posted 7 July 2013 Kimi should have won today. Lotus should have put him on new mediums rather than 6-lap old softs in the final stint.
StanSP Posted 7 July 2013 Posted 7 July 2013 But apparently it was funny Funny that you really shouldn't laugh but can't help doing so. I'm sure anyone who did laugh felt at least some guilt for it and did actually know it would have some severity.

I really can't understand how anyone could find that funny, I genuinely thought I had witnessed a death at first. When a wheel hits someone in the upper body it usually results in death or, at the very least, a serious injury. The cameraman had a lucky escape.

isaidno Posted 8 July 2013 Posted 8 July 2013 When your working trackside , tyres are horrible when they come lose. I've had a few close calls. Had one last season at Mallory that went through a gap in the fence, rolled along a spectator banking, back through another gap and ended up stopping at a flag box !
isaidno Posted 10 July 2013 Posted 10 July 2013 Had my tickets for the Italian GP turn up today . Booked to go to the Ferrari museum at Maranello and the Enzo Ferrari museum at Modena as well. Can't wait !
Brainy Posted 10 July 2013 Posted 10 July 2013 pissed myself at the Marussia incident but that loose tyre was horrible. Whenever I see a loose tyre I think of the Henry Surtees accident. Yeah the Marussia thing was funny, the only thing in the firing line of that was the wall (if it wasnt for the ad board). Thankfully there was no one near it though. Some people seem to think that getting hit by a loose tyre will hurt about as much as getting hit by a paper aeroplane
Amin Posted 15 July 2013 Posted 15 July 2013 Sauber has been saved from extinction by 3 Russian investment groups. Part of deal is to bring Sergey Sirotkin in as a driver in 2014. Sirotkin is a 17 year-old Russian currently racing in Formula Renault 3.5, which is at the same level as Gp2. I watch FR3.5 and while I think Sirotkin has a bright future, 2014 is way too early to bring him into F1, especially with all the new rule changes coming into place.
Amin Posted 27 July 2013 Posted 27 July 2013 Grosjean looks to be in great form after the practice sessions.
isaidno Posted 27 July 2013 Posted 27 July 2013 Brilliant lap from Hamilton. If Grosjean can get in front of Vettel at the start, it will be a good race.
Amin Posted 28 July 2013 Posted 28 July 2013 Great drives from Hamilton and Raikkonen. It's the fourth time that the Hungarian gp has finished 1) Hamilton 2) Raikkonen.
ADK Posted 28 July 2013 Posted 28 July 2013 Good race. Red Bull obviously ran with too much wing, couldn't make the overtakes when they needed to.
Amin Posted 28 July 2013 Posted 28 July 2013 Good race. Red Bull obviously ran with too much wing, couldn't make the overtakes when they needed to. Vettel apparently damaged his front wing on Button so that might have made a difference. He just couldn't get a good enough run out of the last corner.
isaidno Posted 28 July 2013 Posted 28 July 2013 Grosjean given 20s penalty for hitting button, makes no difference to result . The penalty for overtaking massa was harsh , even massa's sticking up for him
Amin Posted 28 July 2013 Posted 28 July 2013 If Alonso gets penalized for using the DRS in an restricted area, the Grosjean-Massa penalty could be even more controversial because it would be the difference between finshing 5th or 6th.
isaidno Posted 28 July 2013 Posted 28 July 2013 The Alonso to Red Bull rumours are very interesting . Vettel has said he'd prefer Kimi as a teammate as he respects him more
marko Posted 28 July 2013 Posted 28 July 2013 The Alonso to Red Bull rumours are very interesting . Vettel has said he'd prefer Kimi as a teammate as he respects him more You mean Vettel respects someone other than Vettel?! I don't believe that.
anotherharboroughfox Posted 29 July 2013 Posted 29 July 2013 can't believe Grosjean got a penalty for that overtake on Massa! That was awesome!
