Sampson Posted 22 December 2012 Share Posted 22 December 2012 Knockaert by a mile for me. Looked like the only player who'd create anything today first half, then we stopped getting the ball to him second half. Why he was brought off is anyone's guess. Harry - LCFC Posted 22 December 2012 Share Posted 22 December 2012 Don't know who to vote for, I didn't think anyone stood-out.
Mark_w Posted 22 December 2012 Share Posted 22 December 2012 Voted King, clearly a few people disagree, but I thought he was fantastic. Edit: Well, in comparison to everyone else.
Sampson Posted 22 December 2012 Share Posted 22 December 2012 Understand it's all about opinions etc but I don't really get all the votes for Morgan. His worst game of the season today, I thought. Very error prone and gifted Cardiff with a couple of chances they really should've done much better with.
Jonaldinho Posted 22 December 2012 Share Posted 22 December 2012 Thought King was our best player today. Drove on and was unlucky not to score, battled and kept the ball well, and that toe that he got to the ball across the box late on stopped their guy from having a tap in. Knocky was my second choice, his best game for a while until he was dragged off with a quarter of the game still to go
Father Ted Posted 22 December 2012 Share Posted 22 December 2012 Voted for King, his bursting trademark runs could have proved the difference today. Tidied up well too. Knockaert and Morgan not too far behind.
ADK Posted 22 December 2012 Share Posted 22 December 2012 Knocky and King were our best, i went for Knockaert.

Even if people thought he did ok, MOTM? Guess they didn't watch the game...

The same King who gave Bellamy the freedom of the park to score the winner?
Jonaldinho Posted 23 December 2012 Share Posted 23 December 2012 The same King who gave Bellamy the freedom of the park to score the winner? Perhaps should've been a tad closer but he shouldn't have just been stood right next to him. Wouldn't blame King for the goal personally.

Wouldn't blame King for the goal personally. A true defensive midfielder would have closed Bellamy down. But King has shown both yesterday and in many previous games that he is not capable of fulfilling that role. The manager has a choice - either switch to 4-3-3 to strengthen the midfield, or get rid of King. He is being targeted week after week as a weak link in the side and the team aren't able to cope. King was in the right position, he was ready to clear any cross that was just out of reach of the CBs. It was just unfortunate that the ball was pulled back too far for him to reach, and it was a very good finish by Bellamy. If he's stood on Bellamy then he leaves a lot more space in the penalty area. I agree that we need a stronger centre midfielder as some games King just isn't the right player for the match, such as Millwall, but yesterday (and most of the others at home, if not all) wasn't one of them. Danizen Posted 23 December 2012 Share Posted 23 December 2012 De Laet. he was great. Always supporting Knocky, didn't give the ball away needlessly.

And what did his partner do to try and get us back in the game? King at least tried to make amends for his error.
