shiv Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 So we've finally got him. Wasn't he the reason we pulled out of the Beckford deal in the summer? Also, Millwall probably hate us even more now
hackneyfox Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 Don't really think we need him, but if Millwall are unhappy I'm happy. I'm sure he and Waghorn will form a great partnership.
Mark_w Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 I'm sure he and Waghorn will form a great partnership. Funny.
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 Funny. Waghorn on Loan to Millwall now that's funny
kingfox Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 Waghorn on Liam to Millwall now that's funny Yes that is very funny
hackneyfox Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 Thanks but not as amusing as your continued defence of our non scoring reserve front men (can't bring myself to type 'strikers').
Johnny Cash Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 Now let's get Vardy on loan to league 1 to get him some goals and confidence
Guest Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 So he Kane to the rescue. Forget Dylan, this is the anthem you've all been looking for: "Here I am, rock you like a Harry Kane." Great minds and all that
Danno Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 Has anyone watched the interview on youtube? What the fvck is he saying!
hackneyfox Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 It's been mentioned on Bentleys Roof that there is a 93 day limit to loans, is this true? If it is then he won't be playing should we get to the play-off final.

If it is then he won't be playing should we get to the play-off final. Same was said when we made playoffs last time but there was something in place for them to be extended wasn't there?
hackneyfox Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 I thought so, not sure how it was done though and was hoping someone could confirm it.

I thought that's why most clubs who are challenging leave loans until the end of the window?
The Blur Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 Just to expand on that a little... MILLWALL'S hopes of re-signing Tottenham forward Harry Kane have been scuppered by a rival loan offer from Leicester City. Kane has joined the Foxes until the end of the season despite being offered the chance to return to The Den, where he scored seven goals in 19 Championship appearances last season. Lions boss Kenny Jackett told NewsAtDen. "We have tried to get Harry again but he has chosen to go to Leicester. Apparently they have said to him that he will play up front with Chris Wood "He's chosen that option but he had the option to come to Millwall as well. Obviously it is his choice and we wish him all the best." Spurs rarely send their talented youngsters to the same loan club twice but Jackett believes there were more important factors behind Kane's move to the King Power Stadium. "That has been mentioned," he admitted. "But bigger crowds and bigger attendances come into it, as well. Playing in front of 25,000 fans instead of 10,000 is a consideration for Spurs. "In the end, it looks like he is set to go and we are disappointed because we have tried to get him." Despite missing out on Kane, Jackett says he is in no rush to bolster his squad with another signing and says fans must give Arsenal loanee Benik Afobe time to find his feet. Jackett said: "Benik is still quite new and it is tough when the cup comes and there is a break in team selection. I think that can stop a player's rhythm. "If you look at other loan signings, we have had successful ones like Kane and Wood, but they were not necessarily fantastic in their first game of their first month at the club. "It takes time to get into it. It very much depends on how these guys bed into things and how they look as to whether we feel we need to address the playing squad before the deadline in March." A crafty attempt to unsettle Nugent in an act of revenge? However, anything to piss off Millwall even more the better
Zapp Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 a former football manager hero of mine that means his real life form will be the same yeah??
Babylon Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 I thought that's why most clubs who are challenging leave loans until the end of the window? 53.3.10 The Executive shall have discretion to extend the maximum duration of 93 days for an Emergency Loan in extenuating circumstances, such circumstances to be determined in the Executive's absolute discretion.
hackneyfox Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 Let's hope that extenuating circumstances include playing extra games in the play-offs.
muzzy1981 Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 If Wood or Nuge get injured or have an off game then turning to the bench and seeing, Waggy, Vardy and Futacs doesn't offer much unfortunately. So this is a good signing. However, a battling midfielder is equally needed, but i'd have thought experience would be beneficial in that role.
hackneyfox Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 Agreed, getting a wet behind the ears won't be good enough, can NFP attract a seasoned pro though.
TrentFox Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 Good news, 1 or 2 more now should strengthen the squad and help us get 2nd spot. Least Pearson realizes the problems and is acting. There are no problems . Pearson is just over-reacting.
Babylon Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 Agreed, getting a wet behind the ears won't be good enough, can NFP attract a seasoned pro though. Like Wes, Koren etc?
EnglishOxide Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 Good to get a new signing. It usually offers a boost to the team, the fans and provides a kick up the arse. If Pearson has been chasing him for a while then you can be sure that he is going to be good for us, Pearson rarely signs bad players. Another midfielder or winger would be ideal to help our cause, but if it doesn't happen it doesn't happen. We can still get 2nd with this squad, unless we suffer a couple of injuries in midfield, in which case we will have to rely on Wellens and Gallagher!
