Obviously they don't understand that players don't get offered higher wages in a loan deal and it comes down to a direct choice between the 2 clubs with Spurs' wishes also coming into the equation. Obviously coming here, playing in front of 20000+ in a promotion charge is going to be better for his development than going back to Millwall. Their hatred for us is really irrational, all we've done is sign 2 players that belong to other clubs and having them on loan gives them no entitlement to them whatsoever. They hate because its their raison d'etre..

I think it was very noticeable on Tues that even though Nugent was clearly 'out of sorts' and Wood was just back frominjury NP never used any of the substitute strikers.

We were sitting 2nd but are now 9 points away. He still hasn't solved the midfield problem which we have, it's costing us a lot of goals because they are getting overrun a lot. Conceding goals isn't always the fault of the defence.

It's easy to say we should have strengthened earlier with the benefit of hindsight but we were doing pretty well up to the injuries to Wood & James. We may well have tried to get him in January and it might have taken this long for Spurs to decide to let him go out. We may well have tried and may still be trying to get a midfielder, we won't be told until it actually happens for fear of alerting other clubs and having someone come in and nick him at the last second. We'll just have to be patient and trust that Pearson and his team are doing their utmost to address our problems. They've got a very good track record of doing exactly that with some great loan signings

Conceding goals isn't always the fault of the defence. He was still at Norwich until 1st of February when Spurs recalled him. I've been impressed with him every time I've seen him play.

Our best bet will be another Premier youngster who cant get game time for their club and has a point to proove. Or even Mark Davies? Any chance we could get him from Bolton? I think they are out of the playoff race.
