interesting . . .

"Lions boss Kenny Jackett told NewsAtDen. "We have tried to get Harry again but he has chosen to go to Leicester. Apparently they have said to him that he will play up front with Chris Wood.

"He's chosen that option but he had the option to come to Millwall as well. Obviously it is his choice and we wish him all the best."

Just to expand on that a little...

MILLWALL'S hopes of re-signing Tottenham forward Harry Kane have been scuppered by a rival loan offer from Leicester City.

Kane has joined the Foxes until the end of the season despite being offered the chance to return to The Den, where he scored seven goals in 19 Championship appearances last season.

Lions boss Kenny Jackett told NewsAtDen. "We have tried to get Harry again but he has chosen to go to Leicester. Apparently they have said to him that he will play up front with Chris Wood.

"He's chosen that option but he had the option to come to Millwall as well. Obviously it is his choice and we wish him all the best."

Spurs rarely send their talented youngsters to the same loan club twice but Jackett believes there were more important factors behind Kane's move to the King Power Stadium.

"That has been mentioned," he admitted. "But bigger crowds and bigger attendances come into it, as well. Playing in front of 25,000 fans instead of 10,000 is a consideration for Spurs.

"In the end, it looks like he is set to go and we are disappointed because we have tried to get him."

Despite missing out on Kane, Jackett says he is in no rush to bolster his squad with another signing and says fans must give Arsenal loanee Benik Afobe time to find his feet.

Jackett said: "Benik is still quite new and it is tough when the cup comes and there is a break in team selection. I think that can stop a player's rhythm.

"If you look at other loan signings, we have had successful ones like Kane and Wood, but they were not necessarily fantastic in their first game of their first month at the club.

"It takes time to get into it. It very much depends on how these guys bed into things and how they look as to whether we feel we need to address the playing squad before the deadline in March."

Our prayers have been answered.

Great signing, that should add that little extra spice up front and/or going forward (provided he can play in midfield, too).

Surely Pearson's got to send one or two of the Waghorn/Vardy/Futacs trio out on loan? They won't get any better rotting on the bench. On the contrary.

Millwall will be delighted with us, Good Friday could be an interesting day.

lol

If their ex-players score against them with the same predictable regularity as ours do we're laughing.

Will be more like Grenade Friday.

When they will throw Grenades at us, Machete Swords, Darts, Knives, Hammers.

Be prepared guys.

Did we have to sign someone who from a distance looks exactly like Chris Wood.

Least he will know how to play in front of flashing advertising boards.

We finally land him after 2 failed attempts. Good signing. Gives us more options up front, instead of the horribly out of form Vardy and Waghorn and the rabbit in the headlights Marko Futacs. A winger and central midfielder would be a dream, far more needed than a new left back currently.

We have the final piece in our Triple K attacking threat puzzle - Kane, King and Knockaert.

Oh, wait... King doesn't quite fit the profile anymore.

Leicester City have agreed a deal with Tottenham Hotspur to bring England Under-19 striker Harry Kane to King Power Stadium on loan until the end of the season.

The highly-rated 19-year-old, who also had a loan spell with Barclays Premier League side Norwich City earlier this campaign, comes as Foxes manager Nigel Pearson looks to bolster his striking options ahead of a push for promotion back to the top flight.

The Tottenham youngster will go straight into the squad for City’s npower Championship clash away at Blackpool on Saturday afternoon, subject to his registration being cleared by the Football League,

“He’ll hopefully bring more goals, a fresh impetus, and it keeps that competition really keen,” said Foxes boss Pearson.

“He’s a player that we know quite a lot about and I’m delighted that we’ve been able to secure him for our squad, and it will hopefully be a positive move all round.

“It’s always important that if you bring players in on loan, they’ve got to have a hunger for success, and I’m confident that we’ve got another player coming into our ranks that with bring a lot of positive qualities.”

Having come through the ranks at Spurs and represented England at Under-17 and Under-19 level, Kane comes with impressive pedigree, and could face a Blackpool team he scored against for Millwall during a successful loan towards the end of the 2011/12 season.

After joining Norwich City on in a deadline day loan switch on 31 August 2012, Kane endured a frustrating spell with Chris Hughton’s side, featuring just five times in a first half of the season disrupted by an ankle injury.

However now that the Walthamstow-born forward is back to full fitness he will be hoping to recapture the form that saw him net 10 times in 27 games last season to lift Millwall clear of the Championship relegation zone and win him the club’s Young Player of the Year Award in the process.

After making his first team debut for Spurs in a UEFA Europa League Play-Off tie against Hearts in August 2011, Kane went on to secure his league debut for Andre Villas-Boas’ Champions League chasing team earlier this season, coming on as an 86th minute substitute away to Newcastle.

The talented striker played a key role in England’s march to the UEFA U19 European Championship semi-finals last summer, and even scored the winning goal in a 2-1 win over France to ensure his country’s progress form the group stages.

It was the 2009/10 season that the young striker began to flourish though, in which he scored 18 times in 22 games for Tottenham’s Under18s before impressing in a loan spell with Leyton Orient in 2010/11.

Time to bust out my suggested chant from the new chants thread.

Here I am!

Rock you like a Harry Kane!

The CM I'd like is Charlie Adam, he's not really been getting a game at Stoke and is a player who can make things happen. I think he's available too.
