Entertaining...

I managed to spot Hitler and Churchill, but didn't get FDR or Beethoven.

It's quite interesting dividing public figures in lists of these sort. I once did it with boozer v. tee-total, which came out quite favourably for boozers (though Thatcher was known to knock back a fair bit of late-night Scotch, by all accounts). The religious v. atheist list was a bit less as I'd have liked, due to the negative influence of Stalin & Mao...

Isn't it largely just a myth that Hitler was a vegetarian?

It is taken as fact that it was highly publicised in Germany that he was vegetarian as that was deemed by the Nazis as a better way of living, and it also showed discipline and control, but whether the facts matched the propaganda is up for debate, I couldn't find any actual proof either way.

I'm not suprised when I looked down and saw my perfect candidate was Hitler.

He had a lot of faults (they were massive, don't get me wrong), but he was a good leader. If someone like him was leader of our Country now (I'm talking about leader attributes, not all the killings and wanting people to be the same/clever), I'm sure the Country wouldn't be like it is.

Yeah people will disagree with me and say I'm wrong, but he was a strong leader.

He made the trains run on time at least.

Just try not to think about where they were going.

So was Thatcher, the problem with strong leaders is they are stubborn and continue with their way and don't take on board the opinions and views of others, and if they are wrong as Hitler was they won't see they were wrong until the damage was done.

The difference is those that are right generally don't need to be as strong a leader as it requires a lot less force of will to get people to do what you want them to, when what you want them to do is the right thing.

If ya get me.

Or indeed that anyone built an Ark

Or indeed that anyone built an Ark

Well that was basically my point, it is a physical impossibility to fit all the animals suggested onto a boat as was described in the bible, even with liberal interpretations of the bible, the only possible explanation is god made it happen and fed the animals and protected them through 40 days and 40 nights of flooding and then 100 days of floating around. So if that is what you believe, then it is not fair to call the builders of the Ark amateurs as they had god's help, and I'm pretty sure that's cheating. Although a lot of Olympians ask god for help and thank him afterwards, but then they stopped being amateurs a while ago.

So god built the ark through Noah's hands, and fallible humans built the Titanic, but then the Titanic didn't sink through bad design or structural issues, it sank because it hit a great big fvcking iceberg.

So all in all it is a bloody stupid thing to say as it makes no sense whatever way you slice it.

I know what you're getting at, but just to be awkward, I aint voting for no one until I see some policies, and I don't think it's judgmental to think logically about safe childbirth. And St Bernard's are my least favourite type of dog

It was sunk because it had a large group of powerful and influential people on board who were dead set against the formation of The Federal Reserve. If those people hadn't been on board then the Fed Reserve would not exist today.

Ye may mock, but I told ye the truth.

Read about Jekyll Island and see who was on board, and what they were in a fight against at the time of the conspiracy!

Posted

Would it not have been easier to just assassinate them in one of millions of other ways?

Some of the Titanic theories are buyable, insurance etc. But that's just retarded.

But, unless i'm missing something the second question is stupid. I'm sure if the answer to C was "decorated war hero, vegetarian, doesn't smoke and killed 6 million jews" then people would give a slightly different answer. And even if you're trying to show why people voted for him at the time, you failed to mention things like "started a coup which failed and spent time in prison".

If you compare someones negative qualities (everyone has bad traits) and the positive qualities of someone else (while Hitler was a complete asswipe, even he did some good stuff) then of course you're going to get that response. All it teaches us is to make sure you have all the facts, which is pretty obvious anyway.

Don't let logic get in the way of a conspiracy theory.

Yeah right Poirot.

Assassinate them all one by one in less than a year?! This isn't the tv series 24 we're talking about, it's real life.

There's nothing logical in what he said.

Do you yourself not know anything about the 'battle' before 1913 regarding this?

No problem :D

I'm just saying that all ye who are mocking are talking baloney.

Edit : anyways, I'm not trying to change the subject of thread, just thought I'd comment that the Titanic was no accident, that's all!

To be honest the thread was dead in the water from the start, I've just had a quick read of the Jekyll Island, Jesuit, Titanic thing and I'm not convinced, a whole plan resting on the Captain's belief in god and willingness to kill hundreds of people, including himself, for the greater good, which happened to be the Federal Reserve System, I don't buy it, nor that it was planned the whole time to be a deathtrip for 3 people, with added protestants as a bonus. As with all conspiracy theories there are a few points that make you think, such as the white distress flares, and the captain's experience, so I could believe there was something fishy, just not that.
