Captain... Posted 3 May 2013 Posted 3 May 2013 Good to have you back Ken, look after yourself and have a read of the 2 threads dedicated to you, they really did restore a bit of faith in humanity, just be careful of horse based puns there were many and most were just awfoal.
Guest Col city fan Posted 3 May 2013 Posted 3 May 2013 I have escaped. And thanks for all the get well messages. How dide you know I was in hospital? I think I am about back to normal but the printy on the forum is all fuzzy. After 30 minutes trying to log in I am up and running again. I am going have to do a clean uup because a few tool bars havwe been installed. How do you get towhere you reload from a previous setting? I need to go back about four weeks. Welcome back Ken...
Carl the Llama Posted 3 May 2013 Posted 3 May 2013 Welcome back me old mucker. We all missed you. Ps. In case it got lost in the torrent of posts: To restore your system to previous settings, open "control panel" and type "system restore" in the search panel.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 3 May 2013 Posted 3 May 2013 Welcome home Ken! (I like to imagine this was Ken's reaction on recieving all his horse cards - Ken, I sent a non-horse card, because I am kind and thoughtful.) I'm going to take Ken's recovery as proof of the existance of god. PS, not sure if Ken ever went to the University of Georgia though.
stevelcfc Posted 4 May 2013 Posted 4 May 2013 Welcome back, within two days you've lifted the mood of the forum to new heights!
z-layrex Posted 4 May 2013 Posted 4 May 2013 Did any of the nurses say anything about all the horse cards?
Guest Posted 4 May 2013 Posted 4 May 2013 When Ken posted in the match thread just before we scored I knew that we'd win it.
Rincewind Posted 5 May 2013 Author Posted 5 May 2013 Struggling to read a little. Limiting my time on PC. Being in hospital makes you realise what a good job nurses do. There were six in the ward. One was asleep all the time one used a walking frame for the loo etc. Another Ken next to me had a regular phrase 'Please, please, leave me alone' He laid on one side and did not like being turned over. Over the last few days there was a new patient come in. He had a fluffy toy dog with him and hardly said a word. All the times the nurses were patient and smiling throughout even though they were dealing with unresponsive eldly men. One thing that has come out of this maybe is material for stories. I shall look for the other threads. I may have to mark the rest as read. Thanks for the System Restore advice. I left my PC on and There must have been things added without me knowing. Having trouble with Firefox. Updated and the site I updated from may not have been secure. Could also have been an update for AVG. Trouble is they keep adding tool bars.
Jordan Posted 5 May 2013 Posted 5 May 2013 Glad to hear you're OK in time for the playoffs! Now keep on getting rest and feeling better.
ADK Posted 5 May 2013 Posted 5 May 2013 It's good to hear the nurses were good, you read so many stories of crap nurses that you forget most of them are brilliant.
Guest Posted 5 May 2013 Posted 5 May 2013 I remember some wonderful towel baths from nurses at the LRI.
