Did the double over Adkins' Southampton.

Beat McCarthy 6-0 last season.

Took 4 points off Freedman.

Took 4 points off Poyet.

Unlucky against Zola

Has beaten McDermott before.

Watford mostly outplayed us in the 4 games.

the 2 Brighton games could have gone either way.

When did he beat McDermott?

McCarthy had only just taken over a very poor Ipswich side when we thumped them and has turned it round since.

SGE was manager when we beat Southampton 3-2 at home.

Freedman had only just taken over @ Bolton when we drew 0-0(I think)and the game @ the KP could have gone either way and his Palace team - which he'd just left beat us at home as well.

When we've had a run like we've had, it just doesn't fill me with much hope that he can make the correct substitutions to get us a point or 3 against some of the managers that he'll be up against.

And I forgot Harry!!

He has to go. Having built a side that looked capable of gaining automatic promotion around the turn of the year and then to follow it up with a long run of form that was more akin to being relegated has placed a huge question mark against Pearson's ability to organise and motivate.

I think arguments of creating stability are a nonsense if that stability is simply creating a disappointing and mediocre outcome. We are all disappointed and what we have seen throughout much of the season, with exceptions, has been mediocre.

How large are you Frank?

Well we have the best second half record in the league, so he must do something right in the second half of games when things often need changing player wise.

wow - cheers for that - must admitt I'm surprised by that but the stats don't lie I guess.

must be based on the second halfs of the first half of the season!!! :-)

anyone know what the stats are, points won and lost, from the moment Mr Kane got on the pitch?

What a shame we had to play all those annoying first halves or the season didn't finish at Christmas eh?

Are you are just going to troll and twist what people are saying, or are you going to contribute anything of note? Stop being an utter arse.

So not clutching at ridiculous straws to big up a poor season after pleading 'a year with his own team' for Nige would make us all sit up and take notice, is trolling. You are either Niges daughter or so blind that you cannot accept anything other than praise for this guy.

For once in your miserable little life, try reading what people have put and what they are replying to.

Someone said they weren't sure of his ability to make changes to win games. We have the best second half record in the league, ergo, he mustn't be too bad at making changes to win games.

Nobody is bigging anything up.

I don't accept things that are incorrect, no.

He should definitely stay. Stability is the key to any business and he has shown that he can motivate young players. Yes we still need some depth and bringing in a few players with experience would help; I am sure he has plans for this. However, most of the senior players at the club have not helped to 'steady the ship', they have shown arrogance and no desire to put the shirt on and play for the club. The only players to do this have been King, Nugent and Morgan, who have brought the team within a penalty kick of the play-offs. Pearson will gain promotion next year. Everyone was talking about us doing a Reading, but actually they have shown that they were not ready for the next step.

Yes 2 wins from the last 16 league games certainly shows what a great motivator of young players Mr Pearson is.

Let us all be full of gratitude to Mr Pearson for the the 5 wins on the bounce we got during January though, which prevented us being dragged into a relegation battle.

In fact our 2 five game winning runs during the season gave us 30 points from 10 games. Magnificent Mr Pearson.

Shame that the other 36 games only yielded 38 points though. Not so Magnificent Mr Pearson!

So let me get this straight, what you are saying is that if you remove all our wins, our season wouldn't be very good.

:(

lol

I'm afraid you may well have to suffer through another season with him, I don't think the owners will pull the trigger yet.

Although I can't imagine they'll hold back if we have the poor start to the season you're predicting.

No what i`m saying is Mr Babylon is that we have had 2 good 5 game spells during the season, picking up 30 points from those 10 games, but that over the other 36 games, which is well over half the season we have been consistently poor, certainly in terms of results, and Pearson when under pressure has gone back to his tried and tested hoof ball!

Our season didn't consist of 65 or more games.

And we've been poor towards the end of the season, in particular in between February and March. That's about two months out of roughly ten in total.

Watford mostly outplayed us in the 4 games. - matter of opinion.

the 2 Brighton games could have gone either way. - but they didn't.

When did he beat McDermott? - Hull 1 Reading 0 (11/12 season)

McCarthy had only just taken over a very poor Ipswich side when we thumped them and has turned it round since. - thought managers were responsible for player performances? cant have double standards

SGE was manager when we beat Southampton 3-2 at home. - fair. still dealt with them comfortably away from home.

Freedman had only just taken over @ Bolton when we drew 0-0(I think)and the game @ the KP could have gone either way - but it didn't and his Palace team - which he'd just left beat us at home as well. - so he wasn't the manager?

When we've had a run like we've had, it just doesn't fill me with much hope that he can make the correct substitutions to get us a point or 3 against some of the managers that he'll be up against. - best 2nd half record in the league last season?

And I forgot Harry!! - Harry the worst manager in QPR's PL history?

Also your 'could have gone either way' argument is absolute hogwash. In fact it's less than hogwash. Any football match can 'go either way', the fact is they didn't. If you can use that then you could equally suggest that any and every match that we lost 'could have gone either way'. Plus we only lost by more than one goal once in the regular season! So if it wasn't actually total bollocks, surely you'd be better off arguing that the matches we didn't get points from 'could have gone either way'?

lol ....I think his point is that 36 is well over half of 46. Not 36 is exactly half of a season. Hence the words "well over half".

I don't think in the history of the game there will ever be a better example of that than against Watford.

I'm still in shock that a penalty led to us conceding within seconds.

It's still not true that we were "rubbish" in those 36 games.

Wait a second... why doesn't Mr. Smudger63 add the two playoff games as well...? Now who can't count here???

If you take out 10 of Hull's wins they only got 49 points from 36 games, not very impressive is it? What happened to them in the end then?

I genuinely think that some people are now finding it their mission to defend Np at any cost ... and are just making themselves look daft at picking arguments that don't make sense to prove he's great.

In another thread it's now suggested that success in football has no correlation to money spent and that my maths is questionable if i think that the more a club spends the more success it should expect.

I give up. The Pearsonites are certainly a loyal, if not completely misguided, bunch!!!

Ok we won 3 in 18 games. Does that make it seem so much better

Cancelled out by the two losses and a draw in the cup maybe??

Phew! Well thats alright then. :P

Apart form it was actually January to April.

Do you know what, i`m with you.

The Pearsonites have a blind loyalty to Mr Pearson, that seems to have no bounds.

Let them get on with their love in.

If we keep Pearson, then  i truly hope he proves me wrong, but i fear that 10 or 15 games into next season we will be looking for another manager, with the club trying to play catch up, and probably another season wasted while the new manager tries to turn the season around.

That's exactly how i see it too .... we'll keep him, his form continues, sack him 13 games into next season and we find that we've wasted 3 seasons on him.

I've felt like we made a stop gap panic appointment when we signed him and his whole tenure just feels like we are playing out an inevitable waste of time.

I just don't get how people can feel so passionate about defending the guy after he's failed.
